The only exciting part of this match was the match picture. Go to the link and hit refresh a few times to see what I mean.
And yes, I'm aware that Chrono Trigger put up a fight for a good hour of the poll. But Sephiroth also put up a good fight against Cloud before finally getting rolled over. The board has a way of voting against the character or game they know will win, but in the end, their votes don't matter as the true favorite's strength shines through. Still, putting up a good fight against FF7 is no easy task, so props to Chrono Trigger for at least refusing to just roll over and die.
Overall, I felt that this contest was quite fun. But I also feel that CJayC really screwed the thing up with the poll starting time being at 3 AM EST and the layout changes. This contest could have easily added to the progression that we were growing with the first two contests, but instead we took a step backwards. Hopefully things are done to help rectify this with the upcoming Summer Contest, and from the initial looks of the bracket, it looks to be that way.
