Early in a contest, a 59-41 match is typically boring tripe existing solely to get predetermined losers out of a bracket. But from round 3 and onward, pretty much all the fluke are gone and you're dealing with games that have won multiple matches on merit. There are exceptions like Persona 4, but normally you have legit games at this point.
And even still, Batman's 41% feels more impressive than most. Just take a peek at how high the game is in the final LOL x-stats. I know Fallout 3's match on Brawl overrates the first two divisions by a lot, but Batman being high-ish at all is very good for it. On top of that, consider how it knocked Fallout down below 59% during its best time, the day. This was never a debated match in terms of who would win, but it was still a decent match in terms of seeing how legit Batman's game is.
Sounds to me like it's time to remove that "must have originated in a video game" restriction and get the GOD DAMN BATMAN into a contest!
As a random addendum, round 3 was the last round with strict match pictures. Freeform would come in from round 4 and onward.
