So glad that FFX picture was used at least once this contest, though I believe it ended up getting used once or twice more after this.
You can make a real case this was FFX's worst match of the contest, since even in the Majora loss it gave a respectable showing. But here, FFX just embarrassed itself and only it being a night match helped it save some face.
You really only need to look at the first 10 minutes. Golden Sun was over 40% early on, in a match that should have been JRPG SFF Central, but fell to below 40% right at the freeze. Then in the next update, it flies back up near 42% instead of dropping like a rock. Does anything after that hilarity really matter? Say whatever you want about the stats topic, but there was no better place to be during the first 10 minutes of this match.
To be completely fair here FFX recovered nicely overnight, but that's also its best time frame. This might have stayed a bad match for it during the day. It's funny how even though FFX had all night matches until the semifinal, it still went out and embarrassed itself more often then not. This game was not the same entity from the 2004 contest.
