This was the first of several MGS-related pictures a guy named Mr_Big_Boss would make, which shows Allen's sense of humor above all else. That or he actually likes MGS melty art, either or.
A lot of people started getting worried about MGS3 during this match, but we know now that it was the one MGS title in this contest that did anything notable. And that was just luck, because Shadow of the Colossus probably completes the trifecta if it gets this game during the day.
But at the time of this match, I think it was more people not willing to take MvC2 seriously. The SRK rally against Mario wasn't successful by accident, and it's within reason this game is our strongest 2D fighter outside the Smash series.
And yes Smash games are fighters -- dumb elitists be damned.
