Ulti's Analysis[]
Sonic winning this match was never going to be in doubt, though taking on a Final Fantasy 7 character a round before he was expected to take on Vincent meant something. He crushed Barret and Dracula both, which really should have put all the Vincent hype to rest. Vincent is not immune to the FF7 decline.
And though Barret did end up getting second place, this was such an embarrassing performance. Dracula kept virtually tied for 20 minutes before very slowly losing ground the rest of the match, but even with FF7's so-called good day vote Barret only won by 750. I know RacistFAQs and all, but Dracula is seriously only in Symphony of the Night for like 5 minutes. He may have gotten extra votes for also being a historical figure, and holy crap do we need to have an all-inclusive character contest like nothing else because the strength of guys like Batman and Vader need to be tested, but Barret still should have won with ease.
FF7 really has become a joke on this site.
Zen's (Late) Analysis[]
Wanna see something fucking dumb? This is from the set of the Sonic live action film, which is pretty dumb to begin with. Look at the population on that sign: 1981! NOT 1991! How could they mess up such an easy gag? It's was free.
Barret, the blackest character in the bracket, was up against Dracula, the whitest character in the bracket, for second place. On RacistFAQs. What do you think happened?
Dracula had proven in R1 that he wasn't particularly strong without his son, but Barret was still barely able to secure a win. This was a bad sign for Vincent supporters. You know what else was a bad sign for Vincent's match? We were about to find out...
