On the surface this match looks like Mario Galaxy disappointing as usual, but you have to realize no one outside the casuals expected that game to do well in this match. For it to flirt with 40% for a time against Zelda in a match where a repeat of the Ocarina > Mario 64 killing from 2004 was possible was a moral victory for Galaxy. It definitely came out this contest with a mix of 1 seed respect (just look at those battle stats and bracket predictions for proof) and contest title boost, and it showed during its loss.
But then you have to play devil's advocate here for a sec. It was the only 1 seed not to get out of the third round, and this was a contest where both Galaxy and Majora were supposed to crap out in round 3. So we all get to HAW HAW GALAXY at least in that respect.
