Ulti's Analysis[]
We had just seen Wheatley crap the bed, so seeing GLaDOS come out and take care of business easily was nice. It definitely shows a huge disconnect between Portal 1 and Portal 2 fandom. inFamous also has a lot of fans for whatever reason, so I guess Cole getting second place was good for them.
But you know what needs more fans? F***in BlazBlue, son. Ragna finally getting into a contest was awesome as hell, and so is the series. If you've played Guilty Gear at all, you've basically played BlazBlue. If you've never played either but love fighting games, it's worth a try. Very phrenetic, very fun, and combos out the ass without having to rely on the gimmickry of Marvel vs Capcom to do them.
Ragna isn't the only great character in those games, either. You get a living cat chick, a giant magnetic robot, an ooze who is beyond insane and thinks everyone else are the crazy ones, a teacher with GGGGGG boobs wielding a giant staff, and so much more. And Hazama. That guy is too nuts for a description, just look him up.
The point is, play BlazBlue. It's fun!
Zen's (Late) Analysis[]
You know nobody on this site cares about your anime fighting game when the main character can't beat freaking Cole McGrath.
Of course, Cole is an absolute powerhouse in these things because he had two whole character slots in this site's favorite Smash game, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. The game with Emmett Graves in it. You know Emmett Graves, the star of hit PlayStation exclusive StarHawk. Truly deserving of the title "PlayStation All-Star."
GLaDOS looked good here but only because of that Portal 2 recency and also who the hell is Cole and why is that other guy named "Ragna the Bloodedge." That sounds like a Sonic fan character. A pretty good one, actually. Take notes.
