As if Jill had any chance. This match was all about Link showing how dominant he is, plus how horribly weak his division was. Jill and Kirby rank 2nd and 3rd in this division, if you need a quick example. This match was a given from the start, and all we had to work with was to survey the rest of the field and see who actually had a chance of taking Link down. Link even had the added boost of this particular poll running for 26 hours, which only made his vote total climb even higher =)
And that's it, really. We all knew Link was going to the Final Four after the first round, so essentially Link had to win all of two actual matches (the Final Four itself) to win the contest.
The only thing that really sucked about this match was the two hour delay of the next match. Considering how the match would eventually go down, the first two lost hours could have easily been the difference, though I'm saving all that for later.
