It's funny how obsessed people are with me.
No really, they are. All throughout the WoW loss, people whined and bitched and moaned about my submitting a TYD picture by accident in a predictable match that went 60/40. In the very next match, you didn't hear one peep about someone else submitting an incorrect Diablo 2 picture in a 55-45 match, but you can bet your ass people would have kept pacifier companies recession-proof had I done that. Never change, Board 8. I have much more than this subject, but I'm saving it for the Prime/Half-Life 2 writeup.
MGS4 started off fairly poorly in this match, and it would only get worse after the slow start. Diablo 2 bled MGS's percentage all throughout the night, and by the end it was clear this wasn't the same Brawl-slayer MGS4 from last year. It was something much weaker, and in the very next match we would see exactly how much trouble this series was in.
But let me give Diablo 2 some hats-off praise here. Western RPGs have trended way up on GameFAQs for quite awhile, but Diablo 2 remains the best in its genre. That game was the perfect storm of gameplay, community, and a soma-based reward system without having to sacrifice your entire life to get things. When in doubt, buy it. Sure the economy was eventually based off duped Stones of Jordan and Dupewords, but it all added to the fun. Even now I still post on d2jsp (the best forum on the internet) just to see what's been doing on (they're all waiting on Diablo 3).
Diablo 2 deserves a salute. Big Boss agrees. http://www.eatchain.com/garbage/old%20big%20boss%20salute111.jpg
