SFF with the other PS2 games or not, Silent Hill 2 SUCKED last year. And even if it was SFF, Vice City is a PS2 game that should have taken advantage.
And, well... there's really no sugarcoating this. Vice City just absolutely sucked in this match, making it one of the biggest stinkbombs of the entire contest. San Andreas was in enough trouble as-is against Golden Sun, but the case can be made this match proved the entirety of Grand Theft Auto was the turd of the contest.
I'll go one step further and say Vice City looked the worst of all four games. GTA4 lost to RSE, but that look a rally and an ASV. San Andreas lost to Golden Sun, but it's possible San Andreas wins if Golden Sun's new game doesn't come out on the day of the match with a gigantic full-page ad on the home page. GTA3 actually ended up looking pretty good against Half-Life 2.
But Vice City? It just sucked period. Unless Yahtzee's review and "Game of the Decade" boosted Silent Hill 2 like nothing else (quite possible, in fairness), this match was horrendous for Vice City. It was no fluke, either, because it was consistent for nearly 12 hours. This goes far beyond simple anti-votes -- it's legitimate hate. This site hates Grand Theft Auto.
