TUM only just scraped the bottom of the Top 100 barrle last year, coming in at a lowly 97th. He vastly improves this year though breaking the top 20, and subsequently recording a life time best in this contest! He disappeared for a while last year, but im glad to see his back and as active as ever!

Tombolo is another high riser, improving 77 places from last year. He also appears on no less than 13 lists, which is highly impressive! Tombolo was tied with me back in 22nd, until he pointed out an error on my part >_<, this saw him break into the top 20, so yeh, good work!

Besaid starts off our elite set of 17 users with 100+ points. He improves slightly on last year by moving up 7 places. I know him for his insane amount of FFXI knowledge and him convincing me to join up again and enjoy about a couple of months of awesome gaming with him and other B8ers...until it all fell through. He's also heavily involved with the Rap League and has made other popular projects over the few years he's been here.

Still a prominent popular force on the board though, Bellis is known for making some awesome contests and topics such as What Would You Do, The VG Contest, and recently the highly debated Strongest Fictional Character topics, which get extremely steamy!

lefty gets even closer to the top 10 this year, but once again can't break into it! This season's UUL Div 1 winner takes 11th in this years list. I've talked to lefty probably more than most people on AIM, and he is a very friendly, helpful and talkative user, which is likely why he is as popular as he is. He is also known to help yazzy and the crew out a lot with the UUL.

The Top 10 starts off with the awesomeness that is Shadow Ryoko. Ryoko keeps her position of Top B8 female on the list with 118 points and an impressive 15 list appearances. This so called Ryoko Syndrome is crap i swear = P. She does however drop a slight 3 places from last year, but Top 10 is still a great achievement.

yazzy shot up the popularity ladder in 2007 after taking over the still incredibly popular UUL. The UUL will most likely stay in B8 history for a number of years, even after yazzy decides to call it a day, and will undoubtedly be hailed as one of the greatest running user projects of all time. Outside the UUL yazzy is a very down to earth kinda guy and is a cool guy to talk to. He records his first Top 10 spot in this list, and fully deserved for all he's done IMO.

Chris has been here for a number of years now and his popularity amongst the board has rarely dwindled. Chris is generally nice to people he likes, but doesn't excuse idiocy, and can come down hard on stupid comments, which to be honest, is quite entertaining.

transience is pretty old if i recall, but with age comes wisdom and maturity, and he is generally very popular amongst the more mature users of the board, which these days are becoming thinner and thinner. He created tranny town, which was a very popular alternative to Board 8, until recently in which its kind of died out. Tranny has never been too far away from the very top of this list, and he once again breaks into the top 10.

DSR gains back his 5th spot place that he achieved two years ago after a successful year on the board. DSR makes a lot of interesting and large contests on the board, such as the 1024 User contest and i believe he did a similar one with characters. DSR seems to have a lot of ambition and enthusiasm when making contests (even if sometimes he doesn't follow through it it >_>), which is what this board is mostly about, and he is subsequently highly liked for it. He is also generally very friendly and outgoing.

Smurf has been at the height of B8 popularity for years now, and although gets some hate, for reasons i dont truly understand, he fully deserves the high placement he gets in these lists. The creator of the B8 RPG Rising Stream, despite its constant flaws, was thoroughly enjoyed by most. Smurf also runs the UotY contest, which is hailed by most to be the only user contest that really counts. Smurf is an extremely important aspect of B8's off season, and it would suck if he ever decided to leave for good.

Suck it Smurf indeed!! 2007's winner Icehawk returns after a lapse of inactivity caused him to fall 27 places last year. Icehawk returned to his usual activity levels during last year and has once again stamped his e-pop authority amongst the board. Icehawk creates a lot of amusing and entertatining topics, which helps keep the off-season from going into a very dull and stagnant state.

Farm boy just misses out on retaining his title, but he can hold his head up high and say that he appeared on more voters lists than anyone else, totalling an entire third of the voting population. Palmer has a lot of gimmicks associated with him including LARD and farm related things, also this Heroic Polymer thing i saw the other day which was quite amusing before it got out of control. Palmer's mainly popular though due to his general friendliness towards users and the manner in which he posts. Hard luck Palmer, maybe next year!

Only 17 list appearances!? Less than anyone else in this year's top 5, but he still gets 1st place! Awesome much?? ExTha wins this years contest by a minute gap of only 3 points! ExTha is known for his use of "RKO",a popular theme on the board, and has made a countless number of memorable topics and projects during his time here, just too many to list. ExTha arrived on the board way back in 2003, and 6 years later he's still very active, popular, and proving it by winning such prestigious user contests as this one. Congratulations ExTha!!!
