Paratroopa1 (21) - I thought enamorus was supposed to be male and just kinda gay-camp in that way japanese characters sometimes are but it turns out, no, pink and hearts means you’re a girrrrrl. Anyway the turtle form owns, kiss my ass enamorus haters

Luster Soldier (25) - The newest addition to the legendary genies, Enamorus sets itself apart from the other 3 genies by having a female gender in-game (the other 3 genies are male). As with the other 3 genies, it also has a Therian Form.

DragonGargoyle (45) - She is a Yo-Kai Watch character, she is based

PrinceOfKoopas (50) - I don't like Enamorus's cloud-based incarnate form, but I'm a big fan of its turtle fan, so it averages out to this middling placement. I also have difficulty spelling her name.

hotdogturtle (55) - I just think it's funny that as the first competitively-viable user of Cute Charm, she has now forced female Pokemon to be optimal over males.

Inviso (70) - It's the only truly BAD new Pokemon from Hisui, because it's somehow a worse genie than the trio that already exist. That's not great.

Bane_Of_Despair (74) - I might like this one a bit better than the other trio, the heart is funny and the colors are nice, but still not a huge huge fan of this set of legendaries.

mnk (82) - I actually don't hate the turtle form as much, but it's still not good.

andylt (88) - Enamorus was never going to look good. I get what they were going for, but all the genies are bad and they were locked into that same unpleasant design pattern here.

XIII_Rocks (94) - Not long after playing Arceus, I was in the car and either me or my friend used the word "hideous". And Enamorus was the first image I thought of. It is a grotesque Pokemon, one of the worst designs ever. I do like how it completes the Chinese cardinal points thing, but that can't save how awful Enamorus is.

ctesjbuvf (96) - This is hideously terrible, has no reason to exist, is basically hidden because of how tough the last trainer battle is and yeah. I'm just really not a fan whatsoever.

Bane_Of_Despair (71) - The eyes are really what make this thing, and considering the eyes take up like 50% of its entire body that makes sense. It's a bug, not the worst Bug type there is but eh.

hotdogturtle (86) - The first pic I saw of this Pokemon was a cropped Pokedex image from someone playing a leaked copy, and I thought that the image was horizontally compressed and no one was commenting on it. It took a few more days and more pics for me to realize that this Pokemon actually does look like it's horizontally squished just normally.

Paratroopa1 (46) - giving this thing a giant bulbous head was definitely A CHOICE I know it’s supposed to represent a crown but come on, at the end of the day it just looks like a big ol’ tumor

PrinceOfKoopas (51) - Big brain?

Inviso (52) - I appreciate its role in the story of the DLC, but this is just a largely forgettable legendary that hooks up with the more memorable horse duo.

Luster Soldier (58) - The design of this thing isn't terrible, but it is an absolute embarrassment for the main legendary of the Crown Tundra DLC. The overall BST of 500 is the lowest for a non-evolving or fully evolved legendary, and it's not even viable in the lowest tier on Smogon. The existence of Cosmog/Cosmoem has spared Calyrex of the being the worst competitively viable legendary, as they both lack any attacking moves. While base Calyrex sucks, it has 2 fusion forms with the 2 legendary horses that turn Calyrex into an Uber tier Pokemon.

hotdogturtle (79) - Ok, we have a winner. For fifty bar dollars, and once again the title of champion, Wayne "The Main Brain" McClain.

Bane_Of_Despair (88) - Yea, the big bulb is dumb. The rest of him is sort of fine, but of course that comes with the big bulb.

Eddv (90) - trashmon

mnk (91) - The DLC story had a chance to move it up, but I didn't really find the character to be that endearing either. So it's just an ugly design.

andylt (92) - I hate how smug this thing looks. It's harder and harder for legendaries/mythicals to stand out in their ever expanding crowd, I get it, but the massive 'crown' doesn't work. And why is it riding other pokemon? You're not better than them, silly rabbit.

Bane_Of_Despair (38) - This line might be the biggest surprise for me for this project. I actually quite like this line's design! Just a very solid fish Pokemon design, I like the smirk it has too.

Inviso (80) - This is such a basic Pokemon that I can't even enjoy it being one of the faster newbies in this generation.

Luster Soldier (12) - Cute Pokemon with a design similarity to Audino (similar body shape). It also has gender-specific designs and while I like both designs, I do prefer the female one more.

Paratroopa1 (48) - i have extremely mixed feelings about the cuteness properties of this thing

PrinceOfKoopas (69) - Indeedee is a Teletubby and I'm not a fan of that (this is also a KoopaTV article).

mnk (80) - This thing sure exists I think.

andylt (85) - Audino was bad enough, this is worse.

Inviso (91) - Why does this need to exist? It's like a gimmick Pokemon that doesn't stand out enough with its own gimmick to be memorable.

Bane_Of_Despair (96) - I really don't care for pretty much anything of this design. It's simultaneously boring and ugly at the same time. I don't care for the horns, the colors are just not interesting, neither gender form works for me. Just an overall miss.

Bane_Of_Despair (75) - A bigger coal that's like a cart of coal, I do like the face it gains in this evolution. Gaining the Fire type too is cool, although those double weaknesses.

Paratroopa1 (15) - first of all, yes, you can draw a smily face on an abstract shape and I will like it. but also you have to understand that he’s animated like a tiny little splash of milk and it’s awesome

mnk (27) - Surprisingly cute for just being a blob of floating milk. I'm pretty sure I got a shiny one from a raid, so that was neat.

Bane_Of_Despair (77) - It's milk, or cream I guess. It's cute, but not much else to really say about a literal splash of cream.

hotdogturtle (77) - I know that it's just a blob, but what ruins it is its empty white eyes that look like they're not there. If it had darker or more visible eyes then I'd like it better.

Inviso (94) - This thing is a weak as fuck mono-type and I don't know why it needs to exist.

Ermine (64) - Scientists were paid money in the Pokemon Universe to create these monstrosities. Good to know that I could become a scientist in that world if I'm a fucking moron!

Luster Soldier (64) - The fossil Pokemon of this generation consist of 2 parts - the head and body. Reviving the fossil Pokemon requires 2 different fossils to be revived at the same time. This created a problem for Galar's scientists who had to figure out how to piece the fossils together, sometimes with disastrous results. Arctovish came out on the bad end of things, with its mouth on top of its head, so it has trouble eating food.

Luster Soldier (41) - One of the new additions to the legendary golems, alongside Regieleki. The design of this one not as good as Regieleki. I’m not sure which addition will ruffle more people’s feathers the most - 2 new Regis or one new legendary genie with a feminine appearance (Enamorus). Both legendary groups (golems and genies) are undoubtly among the least popular legendaries with the fans.

XIII_Rocks (51) - I can sort of get on board with Regieleki, but to me Regidrago is a complete departure from the Regi "theme" of being mineral-based stuff. I get that they each represent a historical period, but "steel, ice, rock, electricity" and then "DRAGONS" just doesn't work for me. Still, I don't hate the design.

Inviso (58) - Basic design, though making a Dragon-type Regi is a strange choice. It's just not one I care about all that much.

andylt (64) - Still don't understand what this thing is made of. Crystallised dragon energy? What even is that? Odd typing choice for a regi.

Inviso (62) - It's got a decent gimmick, kinda like Mimikyu, but again, it's a mono-type Ice Pokemon that offers nothing of value for a whole turn because the ice cube form is somehow meant to tank.

Luster Soldier (70) - Another penguin Pokemon, but this one has a far worse design than Piplup. It has 2 forms, starting out with an ice face (the better form of the two), and then losing its ice face when hit by a physical attack.

Bane_Of_Despair (81) - Kind of hilarious, but overall not something I'd really use. Kind of wish it had a proper evolution instead of the different forms.

Luster Soldier (95) - Why did Meowth need to get special treatment in 2 consecutive generations? I’m fine with the Alolan Form (plus Alolan Persian), but to give Meowth a Galarian Form and a regional evolution on top of that is too much treatment being given to one Pokemon. I prefer what Meowth got in Alola over Galar as it was the first time receiving special treatment. Galarian Meowth and Perrserker are inferior designs to Alolan Meowth/Persian.

Luster Soldier (16) - One of the 3 legendaries that has a major role in the main story of Sword/Shield. It has a special form known as Eternamax Eternatus, which you get to battle in the main story as part of a Max Raid Battle. Eternamax has an insane BST of 1125, beating out both Mega Mewtwo (both forms) and Mega Rayquaza at 780 BST. This form wasn't intended to exist outside of the game's story, but someone has tried hacking the game to catch Eternamax and use it in-game in a variety of different situations. XIII_Rocks (17) - I can't not rank a Pokemon with base 24341324 stats and hilariously conspicuous CGI in the anime high.

Inviso (18) - I just think it looks cool. It's not greatly-utilized in the story, because SwSh has a bad storyline, but Eternatus is pretty badass as a legendary.

Luster Soldier (13) - Cute Pokemon with a design somewhat resembling Whimsicott (similar body type). Unlike Whimsicott, it is inferior to it because it is only a pure Grass type while Whimsicott has a secondary Fairy type.

andylt (20) - I really like what they did with the fossils this time. This one is obviously wrong but in a way that leans more towards playful than horrifying.

Inviso (38) - The two "Zolts" are cool than the two "Vishs", if only because Electric is such a rare dual-typing. That's it though.

Bane_Of_Despair (53) - The only reason why this one ranks so much higher than the -vish counterparts is because IT'S SO HAPPY. It might have a fucked up body that was put together wrongly but god damn it's happy to be alive!

Luster Soldier (56) - Another fossil Pokemon that came out looking terrible, as the head is way smaller than the bottom-heavy lower body. It apparently also has trouble walking, to the extent that can only walk very slowly.

Ermine (61) - Scientists were paid money in the Pokemon Universe to create these monstrosities. Good to know that I could become a scientist in that world if I'm a fucking moron!

PrinceOfKoopas (80) - It's just the booger boy (Zill) from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and I hate it.

NFUN (17) - I dislike the fact they made new Regis, but Leki deserves its existence. It's very stupid, of course--it's shaped like a lightbulb and its legs are an outlet--yet it's interesting and fills some kind of niche of "animated energy" that I think needed filling. Rotom is kind of there, but it's more of a take on a poltergeist. And it also makes me laugh to see its speed bar just keep going, and how it hops and prances.

andylt (19) - There's something appealing about a pokemon being pure, concentrated electricity. Wait, is that any different from Rotom? Whatever, this lil thing is speed incarnate.

mnk (28) - This thing is actually pretty cool? Best Regi.

Luster Soldier (32) - Notable for being the new record holder in Speed, beating out Deoxys-Speed as the fastest Pokemon in existence.

Inviso (51) - This is probably my favorite Regi design, but I just don't find the line all that compelling in general.

Luster Soldier (27) - This Gen 8 Pikachu clone has the closest resemblance to Pikachu out of all the Pikachu clones (not counting Mimikyu). Its gimmick is switching between 2 different forms at the end of every turn in battle, which only affects the typing of the move Aura Wheel. Morpeko is also the first Electric/Dark type, stealing an unused typing that should have actually gone towards Luxray instead.

Bane_Of_Despair (39) - Having a Full Belly and Hangry mode really wins for this one, outside of that it's pretty plain but still fun. Good enough for top 40!

Raka_Putra (45) - Morpeko morpeko morpeko~ Usada Morpeko peko, almondo almondo

hotdogturtle (59) - Technically not even that bad statistically, just not good enough to matter. Also has arguably the best Electric attack in the game.

Inviso (64) - As far as Pikaclones go…this is one of them. I don't think it's the worst, since Dedenne exists, but it's not amazing.

Paratroopa1 (70) - I happen to like a good pikachu clone but I have my limits about how annoying and cutesy they can be

andylt (72) - A very low tier pikaclone.

PrinceOfKoopas (87) - I despise Morpeko because of how it treated Team Rocket in the anime, and it never once did anything productive or useful.

hotdogturtle (1) - Ever since the leaked image when we saw a NPC talk about "half fossils" I hoped that they'd do this concept, so when we finally got the Pokemon they met and surpassed my expectations. Absolutely flawless execution of an incredible idea. This is my favorite of the group but they're close. Speaking of the concept a lot of people always say "yeah I get the joke but..." while clearly demonstrating that they don't get it. I'm predicting that we'll see a few examples of that in the writeups here.

NFUN (2) - The peak of the fossil chimeras. It's a near thing to judge which is more hilariously and gut-wrenchingly fucked up because it and Arctovish, so the tiebreaker goes to it being broken. A 380 power move if he goes first, not even considering type weaknesses, is hilarious and absurd. Somehow this abomination is viable!

hbthebattle (3) - I hope these four don't get immediately shat on, but based on what happened to the UBs...

XIII_Rocks (6) - I love the idea behind these. Weird horrific creations that are like, violations against nature, literally created by a "careless" doctor, is a fantastic idea. A bit like Garbodor - if it disgusts you it is successful. Dracovish is clearly the best because of anime and competitive though.

Paratroopa1 (16) - the absolute balls on the anime writers to make this thing one of ash’s featured mons blows my fucking mind

Luster Soldier (38) - Looks more normal than the 2 Arcto fossil Pokemon. The Pokedex claims it can't breathe unless it's underwater, which is the most inaccurate statement made by the Pokedex on any of the Gen 8 fossil Pokemon. Out of all the Gen 8 fossil Pokemon, it was also the most notable one for being competitively viable due to the sheer power of Fishious Rend.

Raka_Putra (38) - How fishious

Inviso (43) - Only ranks this high because Water/Dragon is still relatively rare as a type combo. It's really stupid-looking.

andylt (54) - The most abominable of the abominations. In a way they succeeded the most with this one, because I hate imagining it trying to survive! The Poke-world needs to institute some kinds of laws preventing this evil from happening again.

Ermine (62) - Scientists were paid money in the Pokemon Universe to create these monstrosities. Good to know that I could become a scientist in that world if I'm a fucking moron!

Luster Soldier (1) - This is clearly the new Gardevoir. When this Pokemon got leaked prior to the game’s official release, I knew this one would get rule 34’d hard. It has design vibes similar to Gardevoir as a feminine humanoid Pokemon, while also having the exact same typing. Sure enough, I was right. On one rule 34 site I check out, Hatterene has 1424 pictures right now, which is somewhat impressive for a humanoid Pokemon that wasn't expected to have as much support in the furry community. However, it finds itself outclassed by Cinderace with 2646 pictures since it has more appeal among furries. Gardevoir's rule 34 popularity was a product of its time, as it came into existence back in 2002 when the furry community was a very niche thing. Now, the furry community has evolved to the point where it is able to dictate which Pokemon get the most rule 34 pictures. Most artists who do Pokemon rule 34 tend to specialize in either the Pokemon themselves (mainly furry artists) or the human characters. Not many artists do both the Pokemon and the human characters.

hotdogturtle (7) - Not only is it a good Pokemon in its own right, but it's also one of the most fun names to say and to type.

Inviso (28) - It's strong in combat, but I feel like Gardevoir does Psychic/Fairy better, and it's faster, too.

XIII_Rocks (96) - My least favourite Pokemon ever is Lumineon, and Drednaw evokes a similar feeling. Lumineon is literally "so generic and unremarkable that it makes me angry", and Drednaw is the same. There's NOTHING GOOD about Drednaw, nothing interesting, nothing exciting - even its G-Max form sucks. The only thing stopping Drednaw from being as bad as Lumineon is that Lumineon has terrible stats and appears in the late-game, where better Pokemon should be appearing. Drednaw at least doesn't hide how fucking useless it is. But to be clear, it is fucking useless. A bottom 10 Pokemon of all time.

andylt (9) - Here's another neat one that I expect to be underrated. The gloves and mask are just natural enough so it doesn't look like it's wearing accessories. And come on, it's a sly fox! A perfect Poke-fit.

Bane_Of_Despair (16) - The most fox ass fox they could make, and such a dapper gent! If there's one thing I'd say I would alter a bit it would be the fur sticking off the sides of its face with the face mask but it doesn't ruin it by any means. The tail is also still a bit much but it's better than its prior stage. Still love the way the fur is to make it look like its wearing little boots.

Luster Soldier (68) - This is one of the derpiest looking bird Pokemon I've ever seen. Another weird thing about this Pokemon is that it can apparently capture either an Arrokuda or Pikachu in its mouth as part of a form change that happens after using either Surf/Dive and whether its HP is above 50% (Arrokuda) or below 50% (Pikachu).

Inviso (5) - Generally, I'm not a fan of legendaries over standard Pokemon, but Gen VIII is rough, and Spectrier's a cool horse design.

Luster Soldier (14) - Definitely a much better looking design over its counterpart Glastrier. Also, the weight difference on the 2 horses is extreme, with Glastrier having a stated weight of 1763.7 lbs and Spectrier at only 98.1 lbs.

Bane_Of_Despair (29) - The clear winner of the horses to me, a ghost horse is already cool and making the design with a flowing mane like this and floating hooves is just downright cool.

Luster Soldier (9) - Fits the British inspired Galar region pretty well with the whole soccer (football) theme in its design, and its signature move Pyro Ball being an animation of Cinderace kicking a flaming ball at an opposing Pokemon. It also has a Gigantamax form where it's standing on top of a giant flaming ball.

The Gigantimax form is kind of funny though, it just standing on a giant orb of fire giving me Asuka "Pathetic" vibes.

mnk (83) - It's kinda weird how much I don't like this line's soccer player motif, when I don't really mind Passimian's football motif. I guess it's all in how much more humanoid Cinderace is, while Passimian still looks like an animal. Cinderace just looks like it belongs to a completely different franchise with its own Saturday morning cartoon.

PrinceOfKoopas (96) - One of the worst things brought to Pokémon, so of course it featured in the anime. Good thing it's not in Smash!

Luster Soldier (39) - MASSIVE downgrade in design compared to Wooloo. The popularity of Wooloo was due to being a very cute sheep, and Dubwool is severely lacking in the cute department. Still a lot better than a good amount of Pokemon from this generation.

Inviso (41) - This is decently strong, but it's kinda basically, especially in a generation with another new mono-type Normal early route Pokemon.

Bane_Of_Despair (45) - Pretty much a perfect sheep Pokemon evolution! Nothing overly fancy, just a solid sheep evolution design.

Ermine (5) - Sword Doggo is good.

Luster Soldier (5) - Very cool looking wolf legendary Pokemon. This thing having a Fairy type is unusual as the design is very atypical for a Fairy type (not the typical cute and/or feminine vibe usually seen in Fairy types). Base form is pure Fairy, but the Crowned Sword form has a secondary Steel type and is the true form of Zacian (and the one used in marketing the Sword/Shield games). This is also a insane powerhouse in the Sword/Shield Dynamax raids due to having a move that deals double damage to a Dynamaxed target. It even got a nerf in Gen 9 (along with Zamazenta) as it was a bit too overpowered.

PrinceKaro (10) - this rating based on armorless form, the dogs look stupid and overdesigned with their armor

Bane_Of_Despair (12) - Sword doggo! It's a little cheap to do, but throw a sword in a dog's mouth to use in battle and I'm sold. It being Fairy type is a pretty cute idea too what with it kind of going with the sword/shield legend theme a bit. Typing wise the Fairy/Steel is pretty cool too. I think GameFreak does a good job with the potential of a sword-in-mouth dog, like I'd take Repede and Sif over Zacian but Zacian still works.

Inviso (16) - Easily the better design of the legendary dogs, but I wish it was Fairy/Fighting instead of Fairy/Steel.

Raka_Putra (20) - Its name origins is so stupid

XIII_Rocks (38) - Would have been a lot higher, but got slightly ruined by Pokemon Go GBL.

XIII_Rocks (3) - Ursaluna was always going to be high, but a second playthrough of Arceus coupled with the reveal of its amazing Blood Moon form tipped it into the higher reaches. Great design, great power, interesting typing, and now an excellent alternate form.

hotdogturtle (5) - I didn't think that I'd like an Ursaring evolution if you told me beforehand, but man it turned into a beast of a Pokemon once it could be transferred into the main games.

DragonGargoyle (7) - Haven't played PLA, but design + lore + play as a poke

Bane_Of_Despair (30) - It's a bear. That's it, and that works! It's a good bear. I like that it's more like a typical bear to stand out from its previous form.

Luster Soldier (40) - A cross-generation evolution of Ursaring first introduced in Legends: Arceus. Although not relevant to this ranking project since we’re only doing Gen 8, Ursaluna has a new form in Gen 9 known as the Bloodmoon Form which is a bipedal design instead of the quadrupedal design of regular Ursaluna. Strangely enough, the Bloodmoon Form is a standalone form of Ursaluna that can’t be obtained by simply evolving Ursaring (which evolves into the original Ursaluna).

Ermine (79) - Ursaring looks like a badass. This does not.

Paratroopa1 (81) - not great

andylt (82) - I hate its moon forehead and weird eyebrows, and the colouring is bad. Ursaring was a good choice to give an evo but this doesn't do it for me at all!

Bane_Of_Despair (1) - There are Pokemon that sometimes I feel like are designed just for me, and this is a great example. He's a total rocker, his color scheme is great, and he's a badger. The raccoon-dog -> badger timeline of Zigzagoon is fantastic as they're all great creatures to base a Pokemon on. The tongue out is A+ as well. And we don't talk about the 4x weakness to Fighting type. I hope he places high in this because he's super cool and great.

mnk (20) - I was so happy when the first Galarian form trailer was released, and then surprise, Linoone is evolving! It was so dumb they stopped doing cross-gen evolutions for a few generations, and I'm so glad they're fully embracing them again. That was a tangent, but this particular one is pretty good!

Luster Soldier (26) - Probably the most edgelord Pokemon to exist. The design kind of resembles a Gene Simmons cosplay, a member of the band KISS known for performing live with his face painted in black and white (the same colors in Obstagoon's design). Inviso (2) - Just a really solid starter design, especially for the historically lesser Grass-type.

XIII_Rocks (4) - This isn't a very good generation imo, but the three final starter evolutions are pretty good. Rillaboom is a rare grass-type starter win. It's only the second time out of nine generations that the grass type is the best, and to be honest, Sceptile only narrowly beats Swampert and Blaziken. The gigantamax is cool, the signature move is cool, and just how elaborate it is are all great.

PrinceOfKoopas (7) - Moss Donkey Kong from Super Smash Bros. 64! I wrote a whole KoopaTV article about Rillaboom's potential moveset which would just be what Donkey Kong's is in Smash Bross, but with Pokémon move names. I think it's funny.

DragonGargoyle (11) - Music monsters are peak

Luster Soldier (20) - Our first ever gorilla Pokemon. Surprised it took 8 generations for a Pokemon to be based off the gorilla.

mnk (22) - The best of the evolved Gen VIII starters, but that's not truly saying a lot. He did grow on me over my playthrough, though.

Bane_Of_Despair (41) - I actually warmed up to this one, when first revealed I was kinda meh on it. But now I like the theming of it and the way it has the leaves as hair and the single strand going over its face. A solid final grass evolution starter.

Ermine (70) - Yawn

Paratroopa1 (96) - usually starters are pretty bog-standard inoffensive but then they made this horrible ape with cheeto dust on his face and that’s straight to the bottom with you bucko. Just awful to look at

andylt (4) - I like birds, OK? I prefer the blue and the friendly demeanour of this middle evo to Corviknight's edgy badass look.

Bane_Of_Despair (8) - As far as second stage evolutions go, this is a really good one. Corviknight wouldn't even have to exist and this one could be believed as the final in a two stage line. I really like the color scheme, and it was a great choice the way the darker feathers frame the eyes/head to looke like a knight's helmet.

Paratroopa1 (27) - why is it pure flying type

Inviso (32) - It's weird how many of the early-route birds have good middle evos, and Corvisquire is pretty solid.

mnk (34) - It's a cool design, but also it's one of the worst Pokemon names. Doesn't roll off the tongue at all. That has no bearing on the ranking, but it has to be said.

PrinceOfKoopas (41) - If I actually played Sword/Shield, I might've gotten similar affection for it that I do for Staravia. But I haven't, so..

Bane_Of_Despair (6) - I still don't really get why this thing is pure Fighting as opposed to Fighting/Water, but it's still cool. An fighting octopus that has a natural mask on and comes out to land specifically to find people to fight and then fucks back off into the sea after is sick. I think this was the main Pokemon that wasn't in my main party on my playthrough but I wish it was.

OrangeCrush980 (1) - In every other generation so far, the starter I chose in my first playthrough went on to be my favorite overall. There's definitely been close calls over the years, but it's held through for every gen… except this one! I chose Scorbunny in my first playthrough since it looked cute while the other two starters seemed derpy. But it turns out that the derpy Sobble and emo Drizzile grow up into fucking James Bond. When I saw Leon send this out against me and start Snipe Shotting my Pokemon, I didn't even realize it was a starter, just that it was a really badass Pokemon. Now that I know it's a starter, I regret that I chose the soccer rabbit instead.

Inviso (8) - I like the Snipe Shot ability, and Inteleon looks cool pulling it off. I think it'd be better as a dual-type though.

XIII_Rocks (12) - This definitely got elevated due to how great its G-Max form is.

Bane_Of_Despair (13) - Inteleon is a smooth operator, going from the timid little lizard to a cool collected reptile who becomes a god damn HITMAN in its Gigantamax form. Again, it's super ridiculous but I really dig it.

Paratroopa1 (29) - I’m good for a sexy lizard in tights and all but it’s teetering on the edge of being too humanoid even for me, the way it runs is uncanny

Bane_Of_Despair (7) - What a neat design for a Pokemon, does it tecnically make sense? Eh not really just like other Pokemon that have multiple of the same Pokemon count as "one" pokemon, but in this scenario it's one of the coolest uses of that. Also it's pretty adorable too.

ctesjbuvf (8) - I didn't understand this concept for a while but it's so cool. Amazing they made a gimmick like that work so well.

Inviso (1) - Unique type combo and just a generally cool concept.

XIII_Rocks (1) - Toxtricity is just an excellent Pokemon imo. I wish it was slightly better in battle but it's not a slouch or anything, and the typing is great. It's just a very well-made, cool Pokemon, viable in-game, a "theme" that runs through its G-Max design and moveset, and it reminds me of that SOAD song. While Gen 8 might be the worst generation of Pokemon overall, Toxtricity is indisputably a win.

Bane_Of_Despair (3) - This gen really brought out some stellar rocker Pokemon, I want Obstagoon and Toxtricity in a band together. Toxtricity is cool as hell, the two forms are neat to have (I prefer Low Key because of the blue but both are great), and the typing is neat as well. And talk about growing into your form, Toxel sucks lol but got the last laugh.

mnk (3) - Poison/Electric is a pretty cool type combo, and they delivered on a really good design for it.

Luster Soldier (18) - Very cool Pokemon with a design resembling a punk rock guitarist lizard.

XIII_Rocks (2) - I don't really need to explain why Sirfetch'd fucking rules. It probably should have been fighting/flying, but god damn. That massive leak sword, the shield. It took the mediocre Farfetch'd and made it amazing. Also, Ash's was such a good boy.

ctesjbuvf (7) - This thing is great and has been missing forever. I wish they just gave Farfetch'd an evolution instead of making a new and much worse regional variant. The only bad thing about Sirfetch'd is that it doesn't evolve from regular ol' great Farfetch'd. Loveable otherwise.

Inviso (9) - While I think they could've done so much better given how cool Galarian Farfetch'd looks, Sirfetch'd is still a solid attacker, and I loves me Fighting-types.

Bane_Of_Despair (10) - Farfetch'd has always been an underdog fave for Gen 1 pokemon I feel, so after 7 more generations it getting not only a regional variant but an EVOLUTION to the regional variant was cool to see. What more can really be said, it oozes coolness from its design to its personality. The way you have to evolve into it kinda sucks though.

PrinceOfKoopas (11) - I gotta have a favourable opinion of Sirfetch'd after I wrote that KoopaTV article about how it's a Jewish celebrator of Sukkot. Fantastic article enabled by Sirfetch'd great design.

Paratroopa1 (13) - once upon a time, farfetch’d used to be my favorite pokemon and I guess this guy probably would have supplanted him as my favorite, but sirfetch’d came just a bit too late after I had already re-evaluated farfetch’d to merely be pretty cool

Luster Soldier (15) - Farfetch'd finally gets some well-deserved treatment through a Galarian Form and a regional evolution. The evolution method is an interesting one, requiring 3 critical hits in one battle, which isn't that hard to pull off. It can be made easier by having the Leek as a held item, and using one of the several moves that have an increased critical hit ratio (and maybe using a Dire Hit in battle if necessary). I had considered using this Pokemon in my playthrough of Sword, but this generation was very competitive for those elusive 6 slots for my in-game team.

andylt (29) - I like the good sir but the comically long leeksword is a little too much for me, and I don't love the all-white look. Honestly I prefer G-Farfetch'd's colour and attitude, but this is still a solid fighting duck.

Inviso (6) - Not one of my favorite pseudo-legendaries, but it's solid enough, and Dragon/Ghost is a cool type combo.

XIII_Rocks (7) - Probably the pseudo-legendary I have the least connection with, but it's a really great design. And I'm always a sucker for Pokemon that launch smaller Pokemon as weapons, like Rhyperior, and Dragapult does this with its own kids. Great.

Bane_Of_Despair (11) - The pseudo-legendary of this generation, it's a good addition to them. Speedy ghost that shoots its own pre-evolved forms out of its head and they LOVE it, kinda ridiculous but in a good way. Also being Dragon/Ghost is cool, even if it does have a fair amount of weaknesses.

Luster Soldier (11) - One of the better pseudo-legendary Pokemon in terms of design. I find it hilarious that Dragapult can fire off Dreepys when it attacks using Dragon Darts.

Raka_Putra (15) - hyeah

PrinceOfKoopas (43) - I should probably like Dragapult more than Drakloak (two Dreepy to shoot > one), but I find its competitive presence annoying.

Bane_Of_Despair (2) - I think Corviknight was revealed fairly early on in the Sword/Shield previews (I could be wrong) and instantly he was a complete winner. A raven that looks like a knight is sick, and his typing is cool just like how Skarmory was cool. Skarmory flew so Corviknight could soar, I said it. Definitely the best bird region variant the series has had thus far.

ctesjbuvf (3) - Best regional bird to date probably. Really good design, really fun to use, useful competitively too.

Luster Soldier (6) - For a long time, I thought Staraptor and Talonflame had the best design for the fully evolved form of the early game bird Pokemon. Corviknight has managed to outdo both of them with its awesome design somehow.

NFUN (7) - Very simple. Does it all set out to do and no more. Cool and classy

andylt (8) - I like Corviknight a lot but I do think they overdid it a little with the edginess. Much like Talonflame before it, I wish they'd toned it down a tad. But it's still great, and I'll be shocked if it's not top 5.

Inviso (21) - It's not a bad design, nor will I complain about Flying/Steel as a typing. Just wish it was stronger, to match how its typing makes it feel.

PrinceOfKoopas (26) - I like how much lore and importance was placed on it.
