Cid Highwind is the best character in Final Fantasy VII. This is undisputed fact. Cross him and he'll make you sit down and drink your goddamn tea! As the second most foul-mouthed character in the game, he gets a lot of symbols in his text. He likes building flying machines, piloting flying machines, smoking, and generally being the best character in the game. Squaresoft eventually realized that he was so awesome that they had to have him lead the group at one point in the game.
Kingdom Hearts gave him a toothpick instead of a cigarette, making it non-canon. Cid Highwind wouldn't be caught dead using a toothpick like a cigarette. Definitely not. This appearance can easily be blamed for his complete lack of Noble Nine-breaking strength.
