Who is Deckard Cain?[]
Deckard Cain or Cain the Elder is from the Diablo series. He is the last surviving Horadric mage. Cain is known to possess vital information for numerous quests. He is also very helpful in identifying items. His father, Jered Cain is the one who imprisoned Diablo. He survived Tristam's destruction and was thrown into a cage to die instead of being killed. Cain is rescued by the hero and follows him for the rest of the journey.

I have no clue how Cain was able to make the contest. Perhaps it was the unveiling of Diablo 3. However, he ended coming in last in a group with Phoenix Wright and Geno. Doubtful he ever returns.
