Diddy Kong has a broad history of gaming since the mid 90s. He debuted in the SNES hit game Donkey Kong Country, as he and fellow Kong member Donkey Kong teamed up to explore different areas in search of bananas. Later, Donkey Kong was kidnapped and Diddy teamed up with Dixie Kong to save him in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, which is one of the greatest SNES games of all time >_>.
Then Diddy got kidnapped as well, and Dixie recruited the dumbfounded Kiddy Kong for Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie's Double Trouble. In 1997, Diddy Kong Racing came out for the Nintendo 64 and was considered to be fun, yet overshadowed by Mario Kart 64. A DS version of DKR came out in 2007, but Banjo, Conker, and TipTup didn't appear, due to them being owned by Rare, who currently only makes games for the Xbox 360.
Diddy Kong came back to join Donkey Kong, and three others in Donkey Kong 64. While some considered it fun, others considered it repetitive and dull. Since then, Diddy's appeared in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour, and all the Donkey Kong spinoffs (Konga, Barrel Blast, etc.). His most recent appearance is in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as one of the series' newcomers.
Finally, despite his gaming success, Diddy tanked in the Summer 2008 Contest, barely finishing ahead of Kratos Aurion and getting blown away by Alucard and Captain Falcon.
