Portal is the innovate PC FPS created using the Half-Life Source engine and released by Valve in 2007. Portal proved to be a big hit both on the PC and on the Xbox 360 (where it was released along with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 as a collection called "The Orange Box"). The game also became an internet phenomenon in 2007 and early 2008 largely as a result of the extremely catchy Portal "theme song", Still Alive.
The "villain" of Portal, GlaDOS, competed in the 2008 Character Battle, though she didn't achieve the same level of success as the primary item of Portal, the Weighted Companion Cube, which shocked the site by making it to the fourth round of the bracket.
