The First Vote, or "FV," is a nightly competition hosted by Ngamer64 and Team Rocket Elite during GameFAQs contests. Competitors attempt to be the #1 voter for each night's Contest matchup, thereby giving the character they support 100% of the total vote, for however short an amount of time. Everyone is encouraged to screencap this accomplishment, both to prove themselves and as a memento to treasure for all time.
Ngamer's traditional FV intro: "Every day nearly 100,000 gamers come to GameFAQs to cast a vote, and each night hundreds of the most hardcore of them attempt to be the very first to give their opinion on the day's poll. But there can be only one FV winner... will it be you?"
