Who is Kain?[]
Kain is the main character of the Legacy of Kain series, a series that depicts vampire life in the underworld with a Lara Croft-like style of gameplay. Kain is nothing short of a battle-heardened freak, with skin as hard as a rock and the ability to absorb the powers of his enemies by stealing their souls. Kain is not picky about who he kills, so long as he kills. He believes himself to be the incarnate of evil himself, which may be the reason for his actions. The rivalry between Kain and Raziel is based off of the biblical story between Cain and Abel, a story in which Cain murders Abel out of feeling slighted by God; Cain felt that God gave too much praise to Abel and not enough to himself. There may be odd plot twists through the Legacy of Kain series, but it's a well-told tale that has drawn in many a fan.

Summer 2004 Contest - Midgar Division - 12 Seed

- Extrapolated Strength --- 42nd Place [18.81%]
After Raziel spent two years getting his brains beaten in in Summer Contest polls, Raziel was given the boot in favor of his Soul Reaver brethren, Kain. And even though Kain was slightly stronger than Raziel in terms of Extrapolated Standings (likely because the Legacy of Kain series is named after him), Kain proved to be about as effective as Raziel in the polls. It would take very favorable seeding for Kain to win a match, but at least he has a better shot at winning than Raziel does.
Summer 2013 Contest - Division 1 - 26 Seed
- Division 1 Round 1 --- 3rd place, 5491 [16.48%] - (2) Commander Shepard, 17993 [54.01%] - (17) Captain Olimar, 9829 [29.50%]
This was more or less expected given that the series has more or less died since his last match. It's a bit of a shame that Kain didn't return until now as his previous performance showed that he had some strength. Now instead of avoiding getting doubled by Kirby he is getting tripled by Commander Shepard.
