It's hilarious how ?-Block can come back from a 950 vote lead at the hands of L-Block, yet Link of all people totally collapses in the final.
Seriously, how in the world have we not gotten ?-Block into a contest yet? It's probably too late to realize the full potential too, which is sad. The strength that thing could have had in 2008 would have been nuts, especially given this poll telegraphed the crap out of Cube's 2008 run. You dropped the ball on this one, Board 8.
I'd give more of an analysis of the actual match, but beyond the aforementioned ?-Block comeback, the results speak for themselves here. There was a bit of backlash for L-Block's win here in the bonus poll, but the damage was already done and this didn't put an asterisk on L-Block's title or anything. It was neat to see the haters get a bit of revenge and pretend it mattered, though, not gonna lie.
Stats and Analysis[]
While the real match was going on, the Paddle from Pong proved that nobody remembers the way it used to beat up Chuck Norris all the time, showing off a CATS-like aura in the contest and looking like a complete joke in a battle of heavy hitters. The Aperture Science Weighted Companion Cube showed off the strength of Portal, but in the end science is always defeated by irrationality - in this case, the existence of building blocks that destroy nearby building blocks, or the storage of objects in blocks that need to be destroyed to remove them.
One can only wonder why the ? Block hasn't been nominated for a contest, considering the immense strength it wields...
