Lockes Ragnarok listed his Top 40 Users (and other stuff too) in May of 2010, and it was quite a sight!

Since I broke my leg I'm stuck with a lot of free time, and what better way to spend some of that than making a top users list on B8? The "other stuff too" will probably be like honorable mentions and some other stuff that I haven't thought of yet. I'll start on this in a bit.

Hi

The List![]

40. McBonesII

ElBurritoFuerte, roughly translated to "the strong burrito", is a sound fellow. I think my first interaction with him was in mafia. My scum buddy in my first mafia game, which was DBZ. He almost won this game for us at the end, but then ended up failing, but it's okay because it's a lot of fun playing with him. Even in AIM mafia, he's a good guy to have playing. Outside of mafia burrito is a good guy too. I've noticed him coming into the uoty chat lately which is pretty cool. He's good at socializing with anyone about pretty much anything, the chat could use more people like him. He's pretty into music. Although his tastes seem a bit limited, any friend of music is a friend of mine. Also, he posts on G. Other. It's rare to see other B8ers over there, which is why I don't post there, but it was pretty funny seeing a topic of his on the front page. I had no clue!

39. SmartMuffin

Some might dislike smuffin for his outrageous political views. I don't care, to each his own. Smuffin's passion and knowledge of hockey is matched by only a few others on the board. I neglected the NHL topics this season, and it's something I won't repeat in future seasons. Hockey being one of my life passions, those topics are some of my favorites, and smuffin is usually the reason why. He strikes up great debates on many varying subjects, ie Ovechkin, Mike Green, lolcaps. A fellow Wild fan, and non bandwagoner, I'd say it's safe to say that he's the main reason we have such a strong hockey community within the board 8 community. NHL topics aside, he's a good overall poster and the Ulti drama was hilarious, even if it was accidental.

38. MrSmartGuy

I haven't really interacted much with MSG on the board, maybe a few times in mafia games, but it's always fun. I mostly see him in the uoty chat and he seems pretty cool. He seems like someone I wouldn't mind getting to know better (lol). I had a good time playing uc2 with him yesterday. The two of us were the only ones that had mics on our team that was comprised of 5 b8ers. We played a team OF GIRLS. THERE WERE GIRLS ON THE INTERNET and they wanted MSG and I, I know this to be true. MSG did better than me, but I will soon dethrone him as "best new uc2 player on b8". Okay, probably not, but I look forward to playing more with him.

37. Heroic Palmer

Oh Palmer, the things you do. Sometimes I think Palmer is insane, perhaps schizophrenic. Sometimes I'm not sure what to think exactly. I do know that he makes the board more interesting in his own way, for better or worse. I like Palmer, he's responsible for one of funniest mishaps ever seen on B8, that being winning our most recent contest, but failing to make it prize eligible. That to me was absolutely hilarious. Like, I would go back and replay it happening in my mind and laugh again, even weeks later. Unfortunately, Palmer seems to be more about wanting attention than truly wanting to enjoy himself here. That bumps him down quite a few notches for me. It's a shame too! When he's not doing that, he's a fun user to have around.

36. CherryCokes

Cokes a pretty knowledgeable music guy, obviously. Actually, he seems to know a lot about all forms of media which is a pretty cool. Album of the month was pretty cool when he was running it because I WAS ACTUALLY IN IT (How did I miss those last sign ups? **** that). Cokes seems pretty cool in the uoty chat most of the time but he seems rather selective on who he chooses to associate with and how he associates with them, which I also think is how he is on the board, but in a lesser sense. Sometimes I get the vibe that he's an ass, or even an elitist, which is why he ended up this low. Love the music guys, but Cokes isn't always as laid back as some of the others. When he isn't acting like that though, he's an awesome user. I like Cokes' opinions on music, and based on his chats with icon, he has a lot to offer to the board in a social sense. I feel like this writeup was more negative than positive, and it may be, but I think Cokes is a good guy or he wouldn't be on my list. Also, he should give me an album recommendation. Oh yeah, and Boston Marathon, that was awesome.

35. SuperAngelo128

Aww yeah vgmusic guys. I've always liked vgmusic but lately I've been starting to get into it more with the board. Angelo isn't necessarily one who I've interacted with on the subject, or any subject for that matter, but I do know that he's passionate about it and interactions must happen in the future. Other than that, he seems like your "b8 resident nice guy". He's good on the board socially, and is extremely easy to like or get along with. I've noticed him in the uoty chat quite a bit too. I think we might have exchanged a few words there, which is cool. Though we haven't really interacted all that much on the board, he is very noticeable, in a good way. Not much else to say other than "Hey Angelo, let's be friends!".

34. SBell0105

SBell is a social guy, and a very friendly one at that. The friendly, social users are one of the main reasons I like board 8 so much, so they are always going to rank high for me. He doesn't do much project wise, but he does have his user contest going right now. I haven't followed it but I'm sure it's a lot of fun. SBell cooks and does other stuff that is cool, like drink a couple beers for me on my birthday. What a guy, that SBell. He should have visited the Drinking Buddies Crew topics more often, he would have been a very nice addition. SBell posts a lot of random topics, for whatever reason. He's just another laid back guy who doesn't take this place very seriously, which is always welcome.

33. Procrastinater

If there's one acronym for the masses to describe Crasty, its B8LNC. Crasty is beloved by all of those who post late at night. Most of the LNC seem to stick together, almost coming off like they don't want to interact with anyone outside of their clique, but I think Crasty has more to him than that. I think I gathered that from context clues in the uoty chat where he is everywhere on a lot of subjects with a lot of users that aren't particularly in the LNC clique. However, this could be attributed to playing the game. He's eliminated now though and he's stuck around so I'm leaning he's there purely for socializing purposes. He's cool to have in the chat and is a nice enough guy to be well liked by pretty much everyone, me included. Like Palmer, Crasty has done the whole "I'm leaving board 8" thing". What was that all about? A joke or begging for attention? It doesn't matter I guess. Crasty kicked my ass at Words With Friends -- a scrabble app for the iPhone, and I want a rematch damn it. The letters just weren't going my way in that game!

32. Luster Soldier

The master of the Dew, the human robot, the god damn chuggernaut. Night votes, trend charts, illegal underage drinking, AND 56K. There's plenty to be said about Luster Soldier, the dude probably has logs for every time your mother changes her bra. I've never seen anyone quite like Luster, he's certainly a very unique individual. My first thought was "Is this guy for real?". I quickly realized that he is very much for real. Luster, at times, is the main driving force behind the uoty chat. A quick glance at the uoty chat stats will prove that to you. Luster has been mentioned almost twice as many times as the 2nd most mentioned user which makes it pretty clear that he's a pretty interesting fellow. He's a nice guy for one, and he has said and done some of the most bizarre things l have seen on board 8. It's pretty much impossible to dislike him, other online communities should be jealous that they don't have their own Luster Soldier. The uoty trend charts are simply staggering when you think of the time and effort he puts into them. That's some serious dedication. Luster has contributed hours of entertainment to me in the uoty chat, and I think I speak for many other users when I say that the chat just wouldn't be the same without him. Thanks for that, Luster.

31. Ngamer64

Aww yeah chat stats. Just when I thought uoty couldn't get any better, Ngamer comes along and blows my mind. Logs for pretty much every minute the chat has been open and detailed stats that are updated weekly. It's a lot of fun. Of course, that's only the latest of the many great things Ngamer has done for the board. Ngamer is like the G rated Icehawk as in they both do the same things for the board but they appeal to different audiences, for the most part. He has his projects, the Guru contest in particular, which I think is the best contest that's run on the board annually (seriously, that's good ****, Ngamer). I don't really enjoy contest season as much as off-season, but the Guru Contest is something I look forward to every year. The Show was a great addition to the board as well, for those that are into contest stats. If I was into contest stats I so would have listened to it. On top of his A+ contributing he's a genuinely nice guy, probably one of the two or three nicest guys on the board. He's another one of those users that I would like to interact with more. Unfortunately I don't think we have any similar interests so I'll just continue to enjoy his projects and stats.

30. SensiShadeSlaye

Why is Shade even on this list? He doesn't even like me, he told me so on AIM. For that, he gets a one run on sentence write-up. Shade is a cool dude and he can cut a promo like no other except maybe a couple others and he has a midget fetish.

29. rammtay

It's mother ****ing rammbro fellas. He's a Canadian who loves his beer, video games, and hockey. That's like three of the most important things in life. rammtay is an original member of the Drinking Buddies Crew. Man, I really miss the drinking crew topics, great times. rammtay always had a lot to contribute there. Whether it was about different tastes, or just how ****ed up we were, it was a lot of fun. It's always nice to know people like rammtay, people with just a good all around attitude on life and on the board. We played a couple games of NHL 09 and I can't say that went too well for him, especially with his bad connection. Sucks too, I was looking forward to starting a team with rammbro. Hopefully he can get back into UC2, which I've recently started playing with a few other b8ers. How's that connection holding up man? If you have NHL 10 and a good connection, I'm ALWAYS down for some of that too.

Time for some of that other stuff too, here's a few honorable mentions.

Dark_Spiral I haven't seen much of Spiral lately, probably because of my inactivity in the mafia scene for the last 4-5 months. He was my scum buddy in my first game and made me commit suicide. Thanks for that, Spiral. Always a good time playing mafia with him though, he definitely makes things....interesting.

gotspork I've never really talked to gotspork, like, at all, but she's a quality user. She seems like one of the smarter users on the board, I usually feel like I gained something from reading her posts for some reason.

BesaidGuy realo is my UCA tag team partner, but he doesn't even vote to support us so he's reduced to an honorable mention. Cool guy though, and we have the same favorite band. The Shins

28. SantaRPG

Santa likes to give people gifts for no apparent reason. That's awesome and all, but where's mine? Jokes aside (but seriously, where's my piece of the pie?), he's a pretty witty guy. I see him post a lot of little one liners that usually leave me chuckling and I appreciate that. He's one of the social guys that doesn't dive too deep into debates. He seems more interested in small talk. I think he's probably one of those guys that sits back and watches the board 8 drama unfold while he just laughs. I don't see SRPG as someone who wants to get into the thick of the drama, he just isn't that kind of person. I've seen him post "girl topics" before too. My theory on Santa: he uses board 8 as a place to unwind and talk about "RL" from time to time, but doesn't take this place too seriously. Anyway, he's a good guy and I enjoy his posts, even if we have had limited interaction.

27. Kuge

Kuge is someone who has stuck out to me for years. He's definitely one of the social users (and one of the best at socializing). He's known for his poker playing, but I've never followed any of his poker topics. Lately I've noticed his obsession with making it onto Serious Business and it's pretty hilarious how he was shafted this week by changing his vote. But something good has come out of that. He's decided to start his own podcast and I'm pretty interested to see how it goes. I've noticed him in the uoty chat a bit too where his presence is always welcome. Kuge is a pretty laid back guy so it's very easy to socialize with him. I've seen him make drunk topics from time to time. I usually don't look at those, but hey, I've seen them! I look forward to being a part of these new podcasts. Now we can get some of the midcarders' views on the board. Look at Kuge go, broadening horizons and being awesome.

26. Steiner

WHERE THE **** HAS STEINER GONE? Guys, we have to crash this wedding and get Steiner back (are the rumors even true? if so, good for him). It's probably been 8 or 9 months since I last talked to him. Steiner was one of the first users to ever message me on AIM, and one of the first that I talked to regularly, usually about music as we have very similar taste in metal. The Steiner trying to get laid topic was excellent. There were REAL TIME updates while she was STILL THERE. How's that for going covert? Unfortunately, he failed. But there's good news, he's since gotten laid and all is well. Steiner is a pretty down to earth guy, and he will tell you what he thinks. I always thought he had the coolest user name. I'm still not certain if it's a reference to Adelbert or Scott. If it's Adelbert then good show. If it's Scott then I'm sad. Maybe one day I'll have this confirmed, or perhaps not. If we don't see you again Steiner, good luck out there.

25. Not Dave

Another guy I know from the NHL topics. Like smuffin, Not Dave is another major contributor to them. It makes me proud to see that our sport has the most successful string of topics out of all the sports topics on the board. I would say smuffin and ND are about equal when it comes to knowledge of hockey, but ND is a lot more laid back about it. His poor Senators did so well in the regular season but bombed hard come playoff time but he was a good sport about it as usual. He's a very friendly guy who doesn't show much bias towards his own teams even though he's extremely passionate about them. He also has like 500 alts or something and that's cool for whatever reason. Dave is a social user whose posting style is pretty simple. Most of his posts aren't that long but they get the job done and aren't too serious. He also uses a lot of one liners, and even one worders. If there was one guy on the board I would like to play some NHL 10 with Dave would be the guy (ND if you read this, please get NHL 10! Or at least get 11 when it comes out). Oh yeah, and he's a fellow Brad Richards fan, hell ****ing yes. Also, Blackhawks or Flyers?

24. Princess Anri

I wish I was as cool as Anri. He's one of the wittiest users on the board and he's ****ing hilarious. I'd say 90% of his posts make me laugh. HOW DOES HE DO IT? He's another one of those users that is impossible to dislike, and on top of that he can probably kick your ass. I don't really understand his undying love for Gweneth Paltrow, but to each his own. I do understand his love for the Ninja Turtles though. I thought I was a huge fan, but he puts me to shame (my friends wife is painting me a picture of the turtles beating the **** out of the Power Rangers, I can't wait until it's done). He's pretty easy to socialize with (I've noticed a theme with this list). Also, he has a video game collection that is off the chain son. I like how he has value in boxes and manuals rather than only cartridges, that's a true collector. Anri followed my Mighty Ducks ranking topic too. I was happy to see that there are others out there that appreciate those characters as much as me. Princess Anri is the man, and the woman. Hopefully one day we can see him kickbox ertyu. I would pay big bucks to see that.

23. Thundersheep

Thundersheep is one of those people that experiments with drugs but doesn't abuse them. I personally don't do drugs, but I can respect people like him. People that enjoy it, but don't let it consume their life. It's interesting to read his stories, and it pretty cool how he's so laid back about it. He's a pretty smart and knowledgeable guy too. He's someone that, if I knew him in real life, I would go to for advice about anything (with the exception of girls. I think I remember a topic he made about girls once and I can't say that I agreed too much there). Sheep sort of reminds me of someone who will have an impact on our world in the future. Probably not in something like politics, but something else. I'm not real sure what, but I could see him being a professor at an ivy league school or something. He reminds me of that guy in Road Trip (the smart one that gets high a lot), and that guy was awesome. Anyway, good guy, nice guy, A+ user.

22. Dr_Football

Dr Football madness spread pretty rapidly last contest season. He was an overnight celebrity here on b8. It was fun following his bracket all contest. It's awesome that he ended up winning the first place prize even though Palmer won first place overall (lolpalmer). Football is so bad ass that he even offered to buy Palmer a game with some of his winnings. What a guy. He's also a pretty big force in the UCA, it's nice to be in the same organization as him (nice promos!). He seems like a pretty timid guy when he isn't posting, as evidenced by his appearance on Serious Business (hosted by B8's own, ICEHAWK). He's a nice enough guy though that he's impossible to dislike. I've never seen him make an angry post, he's friendly to everyone on the board. Hats off to Dr Football for being a bad ass contest predicting mother ****er. Oh yeah, he should have won the Best Dr. Contest if he somehow didn't.

21. AlecTrevelyan006

Before uoty started I didn't know Alec or anything about him. The uoty chat changed that. Alec is just a cool dude. He's a bartender that DOESN'T EVEN DRINK! I don't get why he doesn't drink, but that's cool I guess. He has a vast knowledge of alcohol and I'm dubbing him right now as "The board 8 mixed drink encyclopedia". One day I should really try some of his suggestions, but I just have a hard time caring to. Whatever though, it's really cool that someone could enjoy the idea of experimenting with mixed drinks that much. Awesome hobby/job to have. Alec's coolness extends far beyond that though. He's great for the social guys, especially in AIM chats. He's one of "my kind of guys (in a completely hetero way)", someone who I would hang out with in real life and have an awesome time with. Not much else to say so uh, next time I drink, I'm having a few to Alec. Cheers, brother.

20. DpObliVion

Dp is someone that I can remember from many years back. I really don't remember anything in particular, just any time I saw his name I instantly thought "he's a good guy". I still don't remember anything from back then, but I now have some facts as to why I still think he's a cool dude. He's always drinking in the uoty chat and he likes Captain Morgan's 100 proof Spiced Rum. Good man imo. I've drank more handles of that in the last year than anything. A+ drinking selection from Dp. He's a chill guy that likes to drink and play video games, kind of like rammtay. His main game of choice (I think) is Uncharted 2, which I recently started playing. Dp and I have only played a few times so far, but there will be plenty more times to come. He's a lot better than me but he doesn't care at all that I drag our team down, or that I hurt his personal stats (sorry guys!). He's more about just wanting to play with friends, just like the rest of the b8 UC2 community. He's a nice guy that's fun to play PS3 games with, that's top 20 material. Also, congrats on level 60 Dp!

Hey the list is halfway through. Time for some more other stuff too

More honorable mentions

Menji He's pretty cool but I haven't had much interaction with him. He had some nice contest drama a couple contests back too, good stuff.

tazzyboyishere At first I had tazzy on the actual list then I had a realization. He's cool but he doesn't really stand out above the other 40.

Ocelot Excellent NHL topic poster, even if his team is the Ducks (god I hate the Ducks). I don't see him much outside of the NHL topics though. Emeeeelio!

Soul Another excellent NHL topic poster

FFD Hosts good mafia games and seems like a cool guy. Another that I haven't had the privilege of getting to know though, which sucks because he's liked by everyone it seems.

ngirl A year ago she would have been in my top 40 but lately not so much. I think it's because her sig gimmick sucks.

ProphetProfit I really wanted to have profit on the list but once again, I have had limited interaction with him. Awesome guy though. I think if he posted more he would have kicked some ass in uoty.

Pokalicious Aww yeah UC2 buddies. Also I've played AIM mafia with him a few times and it was good fun.

Sir Chris Man, Chris is such an ass. It's awesome.

Tom Bombadil Tom is an excellent UCA host and a good mafia player. He's just great all around the board. Actually, he should be on this list. As a matter of fact I know who he's going to replace.

19. Swift

Swift sure has changed over the years. He used to be this kid who refused to drink and he was "stubborn as a mule" about his views. I remember a topic years ago he made bashing alcohol and I think the people that drank it. I also think I remember giving him a piece of my mind. Good times. I don't remember exactly what was said but I'm glad he didn't take serious offense to it. I'm also glad that he came around and saw the light. Now he isn't the same person. It's like now he's a much more laid back person who has respect for other peoples opinions. He does still speak his mind in a pretty stubborn way, but that's great, that's what makes Swift Swift. He's very into sports, his New York teams especially. He comes off as a bad sport, but I think that's more of a joke than anything. Borderline troll Swift? Yeah, I think so. Sometimes, at least. It is pretty fun though, especially with the NFL. Watching him bash every team except the Giants. I have to say it's pretty funny when the Giants fall and he has to eat his words.

Back when Brawl first came out I really couldn't get into many games with other b8ers for whatever reason. I guess they were too busy cooking up their own rivalries. Swift always had time to play with me though. We actually played quite a bit. He got pretty pissed off when I would win (which was rare) but he said he liked playing with me and that I had potential. The GANON MASTER HIMSELF complimented me! Thanks for that, Swift. Those were always fun matches and it was nice getting to play with someone I knew online. Also, we can't forget his rivalry with ertyu. I'm not real sure how he got so much enjoyment out of that for so long, but it was funny to read sometimes. It's disappointing to see that he has pretty much stopped coming into the uoty chat lately :(. I guess the game is over. Oh yeah and one more thing: Cowboys > Giants ****er. <3 Swift

18. mr wednesday

Speaking of wedny, mr wednesday's new account, he's number 18 on my list. For the longest time mr wednesday was my favorite user. His wit when he posted was A++. If mr wednesday made a post, chances are I was laughing my ass off. He talked a lot of **** to everyone and it was ****ing hilarious the way he did it. It was **** talk but it was in a playful way that didn't piss anyone off because he obviously wasn't serious. It was a very sad day the day he left the board. He was one of the first users that I ever talked to on AIM. He was actually a pretty nice guy that apparently just liked messing around on the board. I guess it's been two or three years since he left the board, but the first time I saw this wedny fellow post I knew immediately that mr wednesday had in fact returned. Eventually I decided to send him a message on AIM to confirm my suspicion. Turns out I was right. wedny was mr wednesday. He also told me that he wasn't really "back" and that he didn't post much. He pretty much just posted to kill an hour or two here and there. I'm surprised that nobody else noticed this as it was quite obvious who he was.

mr wednesday isn't as bad ass as he used to be. He doesn't put himself out there enough anymore to be fully appreciated or recognized by the board. Every now and then, however, I'll see him make a string of posts that are vintage mr wednesday. I'm guessing he's too busy in the real world to have much time to spend on b8 anymore. Good for him, bad for the board. mr wednesday may be cheaply replicated, but he can never be replaced. HAIL WEDNESDAY

17. Tom Bombadil

Hey look, it's our resident nice guy. One of them anyway. As a Lord of the Rings fan, I've always liked his username. It's one of my favorites on the board, just like Tom himself is one of my favorite users on the board. Tom has been running the UCA for a while, I think he took over when Icehawk stepped down. I've only recently joined the UCA but Tom sure does a fine job of running it. He keeps it nice and fair and it's a really cool "organization". Tombolo is pretty much everywhere on the board. Social topics, UCA, uoty chat, and MAFIA especially. He's one of the best guys to play mafia with, I'd say top 3 pretty easily, and he's one of the better players on the board on top of that. It's always an enjoyable experience when Tom is in the game. It's also pretty cool when he visits the uoty chat. He's so nice that I sometimes wonder what he thinks when he sees some of the **** that is said in there. It's like when you're around your grandparents and you don't want to say anything wrong because you don't want to lose their respect, but you only care because you respect them. I don't know why I'm rambling about something as stupid as this so I'm going to stop and finish by saying this: Tom Bombadil 4 vice prez.

16. ZaziGuado

Zazi was shafted in uoty this year. How does this guy not get the love he deserves? He barely cracked the top 100! Come on guys, vote properly. Now, moving on... Zazi was in the UUL with me a couple years back, the first user contest I decided to join. I'm guessing that's around the time he arrived on the board, being in division 6 and all. Back then I thought he had a pretty cool username so I guess that's why his posts stood out to me. Now his posts stick out because he's evolved into a solid user that makes solid posts. He's a pretty smart guy and he mostly posts in the social parts of the board. He's been a regular in the uoty chat since it opened so I've gotten to know Zazi a lot more. He likes music. I don't think he likes a lot of the stuff that I like, but I've seen him trying to "broaden his horizons" with users like icon, and that's cool. It just seems that everything I've suggested to him he doesn't like, with the exception of The Shins. More Shins fans yessss. He's also a pretty big Weezer fan which is awesome. I don't think Zazi does anything in particular that makes him stick out, he's just another good social guy that can talk about anything. He has his FFX OST ranking topic going on that I still have yet to look at even though I've been meaning to. That's a pretty cool idea for a topic, I need to get on checking that out. I think Zazi should get into mafia, that would be good for everyone imo. I bet he would be a pretty good player too. In fact, Zazi, I demand you do this.

15.Seginustemple

Why does Seg never get on AIM? I love this guy and I love his taste in music. He isn't an ass about music either like a lot of the music guys. He loves music in general and doesn't hold a personal bias against anything as far as I can tell. You won't see any music elitism from Seg, even though his knowledge of the subject is about as good as it gets on the board. He's willing to give anything a chance and he seems to like pretty much everything, which makes him another "my kind of guy (in a completely hetero way)" guys. We've talked on AIM a couple times, mostly about romanticism era composers, where he recommended me some stuff to listen to. Quality stuff as usual from Seg. Though I don't see him much outside of music topics, I see him from time to time in random social topics on the board and that's pretty cool. He really needs to post more and talk to his good friend Lockes more too (I have a music topic, Seg). Since I haven't talked much with Seg about anything other than music I'll have to leave the write-up at this. I know him well enough that I think it'd be pretty cool to hang out and toss a few back with him, and well enough for him to come in at 15 on my list. Oh yeah, he should start scrobbling again so I can stalk what he's listening to.

14. sess

Otherwise known as IATG (which is he going by these days?). Easily the most controversial user on the board, and probably the most controversial user the board has ever known. His antics are nothing less than gold. Everything about sess' board 8 persona is both interesting, and hilarious. I've only talked to sess a couple times on AIM, but I gathered enough from those talks to know that he's a pretty cool dude. I guess you could call him a bully, but I think he deserves a better title than that. The title he deserves is something that my mind can not comprehend right now, perhaps he could explain to you better just what he means to this board. He's had his ups and downs over the years, most notably his rivalry with ertyu, where as I understand, he stole ertyu's account and got it banned. I think ertyu is an alright guy and all, but come on, that's like ground breaking ****. What more could you ask for when looking for board 8 entertainment? Sess pretty much has the art of the troll mastered. If he doesn't like you, odds are you're going to know it, and you're going to end up getting owned by the master. He is the game, and at his peak, he is board 8 entertainment at its finest. And on top of all of this, he's a pretty nice guy. He's very friendly on AIM and is great to talk to. I've seen him in the uoty chat on a couple occasions and it was good times. Sess should grace us with his presence more often, and perhaps, stop getting banned so much. Good show sess, good show.

13. foolmoron

Do a lot of people think foolmo is a dick? I guess I could see that, but he's pretty cool. I recently got **** faced drunk and tried to call him. He thought I was going to hunt him down or something, it was pretty funny. I do apologize, though. I wasn't going to hunt you down foolmo, I just wanted to have a friendly conversation for whatever reason. foolmo is a pretty entertaining user. He makes a lot of negative posts towards other users and he's usually pretty witty about it. It's like, he always speaks what is on his mind and that's something I appreciate. I don't get the feeling that he hides behind a wall like a lot of users here do. He's very honest, and brutally honest whenever he can be. I value his opinions because he's a pretty smart guy and I usually agree with him on most things. foolmo is fun to play mafia with too. In my opinion, he's one of the better players on the board. Easily one of the most underrated. He's just excellent with logic in both AIM mafia and board mafia. Sometimes I stalk his last.fm and I'd say 90% of the time he's either listening to The Strokes, or Muse. Both are great bands imo (though there are other bands out there). He's also pretty active in the uoty chat, though his activity has died down a bit lately. I blame this on him being shafted in uoty. 96 is far too low for such a quality user. Hopefully this is fixed by next year.

12. Silver_Ermine

I didn't like Ermine for most of the time he's been here. His weird, freakish love of animals and his smiley faces just pissed me off. I thought he was a fraud who was only looking for e-pop. I still think he's only looking for e-pop but I no longer dislike him. Actually, I like him quite a bit now which is pretty obvious as he's my 12th favorite user. That's because I got to know him better in the uoty chat. He is actually a real nice guy, and it's fun to laugh at him at his own expense when he's on the SERIOUS BUSINESS podcast. He's such a good target, but it's all in good fun. But yeah, Ermine is pretty active in the uoty chat and it's fun talking with him. It's been a while since we've done rainwave.cc but we should probably do this again soon. It's cool talking VGMusic with Ermine while we listen to rainwave. Sharing opinions on music is always fun and we have a pretty similar taste when it comes to VGMusic. He's been a pretty big hit since he arrived on the board and he hasn't even been here that long. That's saying something. I think it's saying that he's pretty good with the social guys and the late night crew, and I wouldn't disagree there. Ermine also seems to have disappeared from the uoty chat lately. He should come back imo.

11. Colonel Alloy

Heck yes. Alloy is the man. I haven't seen him that much lately though. If he was more active he would easily be in my top 5 users. He's someone that I would definitely hang out with in the real world. We could party and stuff. Actually, we've made plans that when he comes down here we're going to party. Unless he's forgotten, which would suck. ALLOY IF YOU READ THIS LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU COME TO ARLINGTON. Anyway, he makes topics about having girls in his bed, but not getting any. Those are always funny. He likes to party and have a good time and seems pretty good in social situations and it shows on the board. He's mostly only in social topics where I think he fits best. I couldn't really see him in any of the other mini-communities the board has outside of mafia. He used to play mafia but I haven't seen him play in a long time, it's probably been almost a year now. When I first started playing I would watch his play so I could try to figure out what the hell I was supposed to be doing. He's a pretty good mafia player and he needs to start playing again because it's a lot of fun playing with him. I bet Alloy never reads this, but I want to know why he doesn't stop by as much anymore. If anyone see's him, ask him for me please!

10. LiselTestify

Lisel is someone that I've always thought was really cool but I'm not sure why. Maybe it was because I liked his user name. Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I liked that either. Possibly because it starts with an L? Whatever. I tried several times to talk to Lisel on the board but he always ignored me. What a dick. Yeah, that's right, Lisel isn't as nice as everyone thinks. He's nice to people that deserve it but he can be a dick to people that he doesn't like. At least that's what I've gathered from his posts. He eventually came around to not ignoring me though. In fact, I think we might have gone on to become friends! We've talked quite a bit on AIM in the uoty chat. I enjoy talking to Lisel about music, uoty, and any other random stuff. For some reason I just think he's one of the coolest users on the board. I guess he's just a chill dude. Also, his pink AIM font makes me laugh. Speaking of AIM we have similar AIM screen names, they both start with the word "sharp". Just sayin'. Lately it seems he always has some kind of project going on but I have never opened one of those topics. Why is this? Why are there so many questions involving Lisel that I can't answer? Is this why he's such an interesting user to me?

Lisel is always keepin' it real and he's a fan of VGMusic. VGMusic guys tend to be pretty awesome. Actually, Lisel, we need to talk VGMusic sometime. I bet you could offer some pretty sweet recommendations because I'm limited to only games that I've played. Also, I'm not a huge anime fan or anything but sometimes I get the urge to watch one. Full Metal Alchemist was amazing and I have the entire series on DVD so that kind of has me curious as to what else is out there. We should talk anime sometime and you should give me a recommendation there too. I was meaning to ask you about that but you've been absent in the uoty chat lately. Damn you. I guess I should have just IM'd you eh? To sum it up though, Lisel's a great user and he NEEDS TO BE ON THE SERIOUS BUSINESS PODCAST. Great show or greatest show? I would like to find out, Hawk.

9. RustyMrMokka

Rusty sure has matured over the last year or so. Like, he's changed completely. He's had a pretty rough life in that span so I'm sure that has something to do with it. The way he's handled everything is pretty inspirational though, he's a quality human being. I remember a topic a while back, probably about a year ago, where he was high and posting. It was pretty much just nonsense posts and it was pretty stupid. It's pretty unlikely that he would have even been in my top 100 users back then and I found it hard to believe that he was so well liked. He didn't seem too smart then either. All of that has changed though. Now he applies himself and acts like a normal person. I've been talking to Rusty on AIM for a while now and we have a lot in common. We like a lot of the same bands and we generally have the same taste in music period. What really caught my eye about him was when he started getting into Between the Buried and Me, who were my favorite band for the longest time. We started talking music and became friends through that. He's the 2nd biggest contributor in my music topic (which is slowly dying now) so we always have plenty to talk about music wise. He also has his top 155 songs topic which I've been following. It's a pretty interesting list so if you haven't checked it out you should. ---Wait, I just checked and it purged. What the ****? Sorry, I dropped the ball on that one Rusty.

Rusty is another one of the good social users that also plays mafia. I haven't played mafia in a while so I'm curious as to if he's gotten better or if he even still plays. I like playing with him though, I've never been wrong on his alignment when I'm town. There must be some kind of mafia bond between us or something (lol). He's easily one of my favorite players to play with, so hopefully those days aren't over. Also, Rusty has like 100 alts or something. Why do people do that? I don't get it. Some of them are cool though, I guess. Namely pockselated. Awww yeah represent, Rusty.

8. WiggumFan267

Wigs Wogz ##NL and ****. Wigs is THE nicest guy on the board. Lately I think he's best known for playing AIM mafia where he's probably the most active player on the board. I've been getting mafia invites on AIM multiple times a day from Wigs for like a year now. Lol. How does someone play so much AIM mafia?! Wigs is known for his happy go lucky play style and his love for the NO LYNCH. I'd say he's like the glue of the AIM mafia crew. He's hosts a **** load of games and helps keep the community healthy. He also plays board mafia, but to a lesser extent. It's always nice to see wigs sign up for a board mafia game. He's just an overall great guy to play mafia with and I wish he would play board mafia more often. Mafia aside, he mostly posts socially with that same happy go lucky personality. He's a happy go lucky guy! Wigs is also a co-host on the SERIOUS BUSINESS podcast. It was a nice addition when he was added to the lineup imo. He's a pretty great co-host if you ask me, it's pretty cool hearing what he has to say because he's pretty much completely unbiased about everything. He has no personal grudges against anyone because he's just so god damn nice.

Along with Dp and MSG I've recently started playing Uncharted 2 online with Wigs. It's a lot of fun playing with him. We get the AIM chat going and kick some ass for hours (well they do and I try, but I'm getting better!). It's pretty cool learning how to play with people that I know. Wigs welcomed me to the team with open arms knowing that I was going to suck and for that I am grateful! Oh, and speaking of AIM chats, Wigs has been active in the uoty chat all "season" long. He's one of the core users that are there pretty consistently. He just loves to socialize with the board and that's awesome. His whole Heather Graham thing was pretty funny; I laughed my ass off when her name was finally his quote on the uoty chat stats page. Ah Wigs, he's always entertaining. I'm glad to say that I know the guy.

7. pxlated

Back when I first started getting into the music topics on the board not many people were big metal fans. pxl was sort of my link into the music crowd. Actually, he's one of the few on the board that I still talk music with. pxl and I have identical taste in metal and he's introduced me to a few bands that have ended up being my favorite bands ever. When I saw how much he loved Between the Buried and Me my first thought was, "I have to talk to this guy". I loved the fact that someone had the same passion for the genre that I did. So we began talking on AIM and we quickly became friends. He's been very helpful to me, he even gave me access to a LL account and I consider him a good friend (internetly speaking of course). He's contributed more to my music topic than anyone too, so music discussion never gets stale with him. He always has plenty of recommendations to offer, usually great stuff (except that one time he rec'd me Misery Signals lol. not that I've written them off completely yet, pxl). Be it on AIM or on the board, he's great to talk to. He also likes to practice screaming which is pretty cool. Very passionate dude.

pxl also plays AIM mafia. I was surprised to see him when I first started going to the AIM mafia chat, he didn't seem like the mafia type. He's actually pretty good though and it's pretty cool when a friend unexpectedly shares more interests with you. It just makes things funner I guess. He's also a Fire Emblem fan. awww yeah Fire Emblem fans, great taste out of my man pxl. He doesn't really post all that much on the board but sometimes he goes on a weird posting spree, often getting modded several times in one night. That's always pretty entertaining too. Also his user name is pretty ****ing cool. pxl, when you read this, you should post my future newest top 15 album in my music topic.

6. Justin_Crossing

Ever since JC first came to the board I thought he was a pretty cool kid. He's probably the only young user that I don't consider "still 13", well, besides Rusty. He's generally pretty funny when he posts, and extremely funny on the SERIOUS BUSINESS podcast, usually at his own expense. He needs to be back on the show tbqh. JC is pretty is big into VGMusic. He introduced me to rainwave.cc, a pretty sweet VGMusic steaming site. We've spent a few hours on AIM just listening and making our own requests, it's good times. He's also recommended me a lot of awesome VGMusic, we have a pretty similar taste so his recommendations are always welcome. I actually had a very limited selection of VGMusic that I liked until JC showed me that there's a LOT of good stuff out there. I had no clue that Halo and WoW had that much good music. I've also played a lot of mafia with JC, be it board or AIM that's usually pretty damn funny. When I think of JC and board mafia I usually think about his epic fails. Holy **** they are hilarious. No offense to JC but he's provided great mafia entertainment, also at his own expense. He's like the little brother that you can't help but laugh at.

I wish Justin had a PS3 so he could get down on some of this UC2 action. He's pretty into online multiplayer games and it makes me sad that we can't play something together. Maybe he'll get Starcraft 2 or Diablo 3. That would be ****ing sweet. Or maybe he could get a PS3 and join my team when NHL 11 comes out (yeah, this write-up is also an advertisement). He's Canadian though, he has to like hockey right? Confirm or deny JC: do you like hockey? This is very important.

Top 5 time, but not before some more other stuff too. A few more last second honorable mentions. I should have made this like 100. I guess I'll do that next time.

sonicblastpunch Awesome guy. He's hilarious and great in the UCA. Never talked to him though.

Nevest I forgot about Nevest until I saw him post in this topic. **** me. Oh well, he'll have to catch my next list!

Ulti Looks like he's other loved or hated. Personally I think he's a great user. Good taste in music too. Now he's even getting into mafia and that's great to see.

Fett Love Fett for his mafia contributions. ie fettbox

As I Desire A new user that doesn't suck. What the ****?

neonreaper Our 2010 user of the year. Well deserved, he's hilarious and great on the SERIOUS BUSINESS podcast. I've never interacted with him though.

1. DigitalIncision

Solid top 5 don't you think?

Also one last slew of honorable mentions.

ctesjbuvf Nice dude with a great fashion sense.

BIGPUN9999

snowcampsoldier

SpikeDragon Damn it, Spike is so inactive I forgot about him. He would have been on this list had I remembered him.

Anagram

Lasa Follows my music topic, seems like a good guy.

Mer

Jeff Zero

        • er abandoned us but he was awesome while he was here.

GTM Cool guy that needs to post more

Aecioo He's pretty cool. Good social poster

5. the icon ownz all

I remember a time many years ago, probably 7 of them, when icon would post purely in 3rd person. That was when he established himself as a household name on B8. I didn't really pay much attention to names until the last few years but icon is one of the 2 or 3 names I remember from back when the board was in its infancy. That to me shows just how great of a user he is, and he's still kicking ass today. I've had many conversations with icon in the uoty chat about all kinds of stuff, but obviously he's best when it comes to music (that's not to say he isn't great in many other aspects). He is, hands down, THE best user to talk about music with. There's no elitism, no silly bias (except maybe that James Mercer thing but we'll let that slide), and he's open to absolutely everything. Literally anything and everything. There are others on the board that come close, but none have the complete package like icon. He's given me a lot of recommendations and I can't say that there is one that I haven't enjoyed. He even introduced me to Alcest in my music topics. That was one of the best discoveries of 2010 for me so far. I always appreciate his posts in my music topics.

icon is also a Canadian and a hockey fan. Canadians are the coolest people there are besides hockey fans, so if you're a Canadian hockey fan, which is likely if you are Canadian, then you're obviously a top tier human and/or board 8er. Living in Vancouver he's a Canucks fan which is pretty cool. I've always liked them, the Sedins are awesome. icon says when he gets his PS3 fixed he's going to get NHL11 and join my team. This is the best news ever tbqh. I need a solid group of 4-5 b8ers for this and what better way to start than with a top 5 user? It does suck that his PS3 is broken since he convinced me to get Uncharted 2 in the first place and join the B8 online ranks. GET THAT **** FIXED GOD DAMN IT.

4. fetusbucketeer

fetusbucketeer got all up in yo face *****, and so it was that the board had its greatest comic relief character of the last year or two. fetus brings a unique style of posting to the board. His random, witty, almost nonsensical posts are some of the finest I've ever been graced with reading. What's even better is that he can still add an awesome storytelling tinge to a lot of his posts. If fetus wrote a book I would be first in line to pick up my copy, he's just that good. Plus he has the attitude of a bad ass. I wonder if he's a bad ass in the real world. One would have to assume so, I bet he gets his fair share of ass on the reg. He's the founder of the Drinking Buddies Crew topics. I think rammtay actually had the idea, but fetus took it and ran with it. Easily one of my favorite string of topics in a long time. It's pretty self explanatory, if you were partying and had board 8 available you would keep updates going live through the night or tell the story in the morning. Also we discussed various beers and liquors. Again, great topics with great laughs, and a few posts I'm sure some of us don't even remember making. Thanks fetus, those topics were surprisingly successful.

fetus is one of three users that I will most likely party a little with within the next year (I don't drink too much anymore but I'll definitely make an exception here). Should be pretty fun. He's been fairly active in the uoty chat too. In fact, we were one and two as the top cursers in the chat after the first update, which I thought was hilarious for some reason.

3. Icehawk

In my opinion Icehawk is the best overall user on the board, but we don't talk near as much as my top two. That's probably because we have little to no similar interests. That's not to say he isn't a cool guy because he's easily one of the coolest on the board. We talk on AIM from time to time, usually just random chatting or podcast talk. Speaking of podcasts, SERIOUS BUSINESS (the Icehawk caps are both cool and contagious) is the best project currently ran on the board and possibly the best ever. The way he runs it is excellent and he covers all of the "hot topics" on the board making them even more hilarious or ridiculous than they already were. The impersonations are gold, seriously. There's been some A+ moments on the podcast, some that have kept me laughing for over a half our. He's had some great ideas that also help make the podcast what it is. Guest hosts and 1 post winners in particular. Serious Business is something that has become somewhat of a routine for my Sunday or Monday nights. Love it.

Icehawk is a good social poster that has his share of haters. I don't get it at all. Some say he's a dick but I just see a guy speaking the truth. Board 8 is serious business, after all. He also runs a lot of other projects. His top user list last year was really cool to read and his recent SNES RPG topic was good too. Did that even finish yet? He was also one of the most active users in the uoty chat. He kept updated votals throughout most of uoty and sometimes got into some **** talking quarrels with some folks there which made me laugh. Icehawk is like a cool nerd, and a cool "normal person" all in one and those people are pretty rare imo. Also, Chester.

2. MajinZidane

1 and 2 are pretty close, and bokbobkobkbobko is the number 2. There's only 1 user I would +10 over him (uoty references will never die). boko is one of the nicest users we have and he's everywhere on the board. Well, not so much everywhere these days, I'd say he's pretty mafia oriented actually, but he's well liked in many areas of the board. boko got me into mafia when he invited me to the first game he hosted (DBZ). He taught me the basics and it turned out to be pretty fun. boko also gave me a reserved spot in his Wigs Birthday Mafia for no reason. I think he has a man crush on me, and that's fine by me <3! While I'm on the topic I think it needs to be said that he has a very unique playing style. And that's all I've got to say about that.

Mafia is one thing but our board 8 friendship is pretty much based on social interaction. I've talked to boko on AIM more than any other user by a long shot. He's still the only user that I've talked to on the phone too. It's always funny drunk dialing boko, or even drunk texting. For some reason a conversation with boko lasts way longer than that with most other users. He's definitely one of the "social butterfly" users. He's just an overall fun user. I think I've figured out how he does so well in e-pop. He befriends people over AIM rather than post a lot on the board, a nice strategy if you can pull it off, which he can. He's also one of the funniest users on the board. His posting style is something that I can't really describe. It's like you can never tell if he's being serious or not, but usually I would bet that he isn't. There are a few exceptions though. Whether it's wacky boko or serious boko, it's always hilarious boko. I was supposed to go to Michigan and party with him this year but my broken leg has set me back. Next year though, and he'll even be 21 then so there should be no need to go to Canada(more like so I don't have to go through the hassle of getting a passport). Oh, and this: boko 4 prez.

1. CommodoreTN

There are a lot of users on the board, but there are none that I know that have done things as equally as stupid as me besides Commodore. I first came to know Commodore in a topic I made where I would "tell you if we would be friends in real life". At the time I hadn't seen him post very much so I didn't know. I definitely know now. If there's one person on the board that I want to hang out with, it's Commodore. I've never been a huge fan of fraternities but he's told me some pretty funny stories about his. For example: they once made their pledges ride tricycles with balloons attached to them while they tried to pop each others balloons, much like Mario Kart. That actually sounds fun, I might even try to organize something like that with my friends. I realized we had a lot in common in the Drinking Buddies Crew topics and eventually we started talking on AIM about past drunken stories. We even made a topic together telling the stories to the board which had a little success. I've seen pictures of his parties, **** looks crazy. We're definitely partying sometime soon.

Commodore is a real easy guy to get along with. He's a laid back normal guy that's also part nerd. We text sometimes, usually to say that we're on the cusp of doing something stupid, or to ask if something is a good idea or not. It usually involves girls. It's always nice to have advice just one text away, whether you use it much or not. We've talked about girls, partying, and just life in general. He's a good friend to have, and my best friend on the board. I consider him a "long distance wingman", for lack of better term haha. As a matter of fact, from now on I'll refer to him as that. Commodore also contributed the most to my beer shots topic. I'm sure he was responsible for at least a 6 pack of that. Thanks for that, crazy ****er.
