Song Rankings
1. Skipper Dan
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Everything. EVERYTHING. Chorus, verses, background chorus, key change, the music itself. PEP, PEP. I was sure that Tarantino would be callin' me on my phone, Annie Liebowitz would shoot me for Rollin' Stone, but the years have come and gone and I'm sorry to say, that's not the way that it's all worked out, I'M A TOOOUUURRR GUIDE ON THE JUNGLE CRUISE RIDE, Skipper Dan is the name, And I'm doin' 34 shows every day, and every time it's the same. Look at those hippos, they're wigglin' their ears, just like they've done for the last 50 years Now I'm laughin' at my own jokes, but I'm cryin' inside 'Cause I'm workin' on the Jungle Cruise ride/Somebody shoot me, 'cause I'm bored to tears! Always said I'd be famous, I guess that I lied, 'Cause I'm workin' on the Jungle Cruise ride... I'm still workin' on the Jungle Cruise ride! The Skipper jokes (AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN as well as the actual jokes). Why don't you measure in business instead? IT AIN'T EXACTLY WHAT I PLANNED but I'm a tour etc.
Type: Original/Style parody of Weezer (esp. Pork and Beans)/Style Parody of Fountain of Wayne/Whatever the hell you want it to be In the Video, Skipper Dan's opposing female actor apparently became a Skipper as well, and just as miserable.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0cCRRFi1aA
Weird Al sings from the perspective of a down on his luck actor, who has no choice but to work on The Jungle Cruise Ride as Skipper Dan. Ladies and gentlemen, my personal favorite and absolute clear #1 Weird Al Yankovic song. Right from the start, this song drew me in with the guitars, then the vocals and background chorus kicked in, and perfection just permeates through the air. Ahh, listening to Skipper Dan for 3 weeks straight. SO anyway, the origins of the song is while Al and his family went on a family vacation on Disneyland, they went on the Jungle Cruise Ride. There, Al chatted with the Skipper, who said that he is actually an actor, and the legend began. Reaction from Real Life Skipper Dans? They loved it. In fact, the ones who hated it appear to be actors. If you're wondering about why I put so many Type categories, it's because despite Al attributing it to Weezer, people still vehemently say it doesn't sound like Weezer (Speaking of which, I didn't like Pork and Beans). Oh, and the elephant joke is: (You know how I know? It's because we're in Africa), whereas the tiger's is: (But don't worry folks, we're currently 19 feet away. He'll jump clear over us!). Water is obvious.
2. Albuquerque
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: AMAZING use of instruments, the band really shines, particularly the guitar. Utterly random ramblings became awesome. Too many awesome moments, really. My absolute favorite vocals are "had my tray table up" and " If you'd like to make a call" and the screaming replacing the 3rd one. Then there's the freakin' title drop, of course, 26 and half years old, "I hate it when I'm right", Zelda break-up, TORSO BOY, I was off by 3, leaving the crash as an afterthought, the crap he brought out of the wreckage, The "epic" brawl at the Holiday inn, the entire doughnut shop saga, the weasels, Well, I knew what he meant, But just to be funny, I took a big bite out of his jugular vein, You know, completely missing the irony of the whole situation Man, some people just can't take a joke, you know? It's okay, they're clean! All the screaming, the REAL point to the song, I said A! (A!), L! (L!). B! (B!), U! (U!) *pauses* QUERQUE! and the grand finish.
Type: Style Parody of The Rugburns* (particularly Dick's Automotive)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1765UzjAQxI
In the longest song he's recorded, Weird Al talk-sings about AAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLBUQUERQUE (actually, the point of the story is- Oops, that would be spoiling. LISTEN to this masterpiece, dammit). The one, the only, the crowd pleaser, the endlessly changing, the ultimate concert song, and widely considered by many as number one. Initially, Al wanted to make a song that people just hate... and then everybody loved it. Oh, and here are the official lyrics:
Way back when I was just a little bitty boy living in a box under the stairs in a corner of the basement of the house half a block down the street from Jerry's Bait Shop... You know the place... Well anyway, back then life was going swell and everything was juuuuust peachy... except of course for the undeniable fact that every single morning my mother would . . . you know what? The rest of these lyrics aren't gonna fit on here. There's just no room left. What a drag, huh? I guess we didn't plan this out very well . . . probably should've used a smaller font or a bigger piece of paper or something. Sorry. We all feel just horrible about this. Well, I guess you'll just have to listen really carefully and try to figure out the words for yourself. Good luck.
lol Al.
3. White & Nerdy
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: The lyrics. Oh my god the lyrics. Got skills, I'm a champion at D&D, M.C. Escher, that's my favorite M.C., My rims never spin, to the contrary, you'll find that they're quite stationary. I ain't got a gat, but I got a soldering gun (what?), Happy Days is my favorite theme song, They see me roll on my Segway, I know in my heart they think I'm White and nerdy, The pens in my pocket, I must protect them, Even made a homepage for my dog, yo, I got myself a fanny pack, They were havin' a sale down at The Gap Spend my nights with a roll of bubble wrap, POP POP - hope no one sees me gettin' freaky, I'm nerdy in the extreme, Whiter than sour cream. Only question I ever thought was hard, was "Do I like Kirk or do I like Picard?", They see me strollin', they're laughin', And rollin' their eyes cause I'm so White and nerdy, Holy cow, I'm white and nerdy, The video is just... perfect. The gangsters running from Al. Donny Osmond. Thumbs Up VS The Bird. YOU SUCK! Bubble Wrap. Star Wars Holiday Special
Type: Parody of Ridin' by Chamillionaire ft. Krayzie Bone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9qYF9DZPdw
Weird Al raps about the plus and minuses, as well as how White & Nerdy he is. I don't like Ridin', but good god, this song is freakin' awesome, and the video is the cherry on top. Just like how many lines I love up there. WATCH IT. So yeah, Seth Green and Donny Osmond cameos in the vid. And thanks to the vid, Atlantic Record's wiki entry was vandalized. Chamillionaire himself was astounded by how Al raps. DEFINITELY top 3, and THE best album opener.
4. EBay
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: The useless as **** items this dude bought. Chorus. Just check my feedback. A++! They love me on EBay! From some guy, I've never met in NOORRRWAY! I am the type who is liable to snipe you, with two seconds left to go, whoa. The final part (I'll buy... your tchotchkes ALL THE WAY to the end)
Type: Parody of I Want It That Way by The Backstreet Boys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23bAQZSNMvw
A kleptomaniac recounts his history with his favorite website. Backstreet boys is totally the best boyband ever. That said, much liek Born this way, this parody is so damn better. It goddamn earned it's spot on The Essential Weird Al Yankovic. DAT FINISH! My god man, that is just... perfect. BTW, if you listen closely, you can hear Al holding the note all the way to the end.
5. This Is The Life
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: Piano. Instrumental parts. WHAT UP? WHAT UP? If money can't buy happiness, then I guess I'll have to rent it! The big finish.
Type: Original/Style Parody of 20's Music
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1n5XqwUkYw http://www.metacafe.com/watch/sy-336010676/weird_al_yankovic_this_is_the_life_official_music_video/
Weird Al brags about his lavish lifestyle, old school style. Originally commissioned for the movie Johnny Dangerously, though it doesn't show in all versions of the movie. I LOVE that big finish and piano focus, as well as how damn extravagant Al's character is. An endlessly repeatable song for me. Show of hands: who booed when they saw this lasted this long? SCREW YOUR OPINIONS, I HAVE MONEY!
That's right, I'm the king, number one, I buy monographed Kleenex by the ton, I pay the bills, I call the shots, I grease the palms, I buy the yachts!
One thing I can guarantee, the best things in life, they sure ain't free! It's such a thrill just to be me, THIS IS THE LIFE!
THIS IS THE LIFE!

7. Your Horoscope For Today
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Chorus + Verses. The bridge, of course
Type: Original
www.youtube.com/watch?v=urHiDIyjq5A
Zodiac horoscope, Weird Al style! Hands down one of the best original song in Weird Al's repertoire. Part of me feels I should push this higher... but then I listened to the other 6 again and I'm still perplexed. Oh well. The extra part is Ophiuchus: "You'll become the center of attention when you replace every square inch of your skin with plexiglass." WHERE WAS I?
8. Polka Power!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vAMaDzxxYU
All Polka medleys have the same weakness: Weak songs. But not these two.
9. Perform This Way
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Chorus, Ooh my little monsters pay, I'll wear a porcupine on my head on a W-H-I-M (HEY HEY HEY!), I'M FRANKENSTEIN, I'M AVATAR! The creep-tastic CGI Al's Face on a girl's body.
Type: Parody of Born This Way by Lady Gaga
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss_BmTGv43M
Weird Al reveals the true reason for Lady Gaga's fashion sense. I vastly prefer this to Born This Way, BTW, and I loved the original song. So anyway, back when this song was first released, there was a controversy regarding Al getting permission for the song... at first he tried to contact Lady Gaga, to which her manager said that Lady Gaga said no. Devastated, Al decided to release the song through the internet, and said all proceeds from the song will go the Human Rights Campaign. And THEN apparently Lady Gaga was never asked in the first place, because not long after it hit youtube, Lady Gaga herself gave Al permission to record and make a music video about it. Thank you Lady Gaga! BTW, Weird Al wears the peacock suit in concerts.
10. Jerry Springer
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Non-stop weird as hell guests. Interlude with the two fighting guests. "Jerry Jerry!" The crowd starts their favorite chant!. Come over here and pull on my finger.
Type: Parody of One Week by Barenaked Ladies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIPay8ryydk
A song about one man's obsession the one and only Jerry Springer. Barenaked Ladies + Talk show jokes? HELL YEAH. XD the fight in the middle and the KKK VS the gay jewish black dude.
11. Virus Alert
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: Chorus, Poodle Hickey. Euro-Disney, LOOK OUT! parts, Grandmother seeing all of your porn, That moment when you realize what the real virus is.
Type: Style parody of The Sparks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvfD5rnkTws http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/377583
A musical email about the dangers of the Stinky Cheese Virus... that wants to be sent to everybody. I tell ya, I laughed so damn hard when I heard that. I love the beat, and the lyrics are just perfectly nonsensical. But, not enough to get into the top ten.
12. I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Title drops. Bridge. Final verse.
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS8Hi-HAIgs
The ultimate hipster song... or is it anti-hipster? So yeah, it may surprise you to know that Weird Al is, in fact, a Vegetarian. Though he only switched from 1992 on, so it's all good. Like, WOW man, can you relate? Chorus is TOO GOOD and the song as whole is insanely catchy.
13. That Boy Could Dance
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: The music. THAT BOY COULD DANCE! He was kind of a jerk, he was kind of a bore, but the women would scream when he walked in the door... 'Cause one thing I can tell you for sure, THAT BOY COULD DANCE!
Type: Original/Style parody of Meat Loaf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d99VYhXBt44
A coming of age song about a boy with only one talent... TO DANCE! Right from the start, I fell in love with this song. Those instruments man... and it's so damn catchy and upbeat I can't help but sing along.
14. Ringtone
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: But I'd hate to waste a buck 99. Chorus. The final part of course. Oh my god.
Worst Part: The ending... could have been better.
Type: Style parody of Queen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_c4aeVmND0
A song about that bane of people everywhere... annoying ringtones. While for the most part this song is just good (coming from a Queen fan as well), and I did not like the sudden end/fadeout... DAT FINAL VERSE! From CHINESE FACTORY WORKERS to EVERY SINGLE PERSON EVERYWHERE UNANIMOUSLY! Holy crap, that was just amazing.
15. Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Snopes, Chicken Soup, Top 10 lists + slash my wrists, LIKE GLITTERY HEARTS AND UNICORNS AND PICTURES OF SOMEBODY'S CAT! Now tell me, in what alternate reailty would I care about something like that?, the big finale.
Type: Style parody of Jim Steinman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCSA7kKNu2Y
Weird Al rants about spam e-mails... Musical finale style. I LOVE big musical finishes. I hate spam. A match made in heaven! From start to finish this song was just ear candy, and oh man that big finish.
16. Dare To Be Stupid
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: Pretty much every line, really
Type: Style parody of Devo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMhwddNQSWQ http://www.metacafe.com/watch/sy-336010673/weird_al_yankovic_dare_to_be_stupid_official_music_video/
Weird Al sings his battle cry, for everyone to fight conformity by conforming to stupidity. So yeah, Mark of Devo loved and hated the song and Weird Al because it is both the perfect tribute and parody to what Devo is about..
17. The Night Santa Went Crazy (Normal > Extra Gory)
Album: Bad Hair Day (Extra Gory is in The Essential Weird Al Yankovic)
Best Part: Yuletide Rambo, Merry Christmas to all, now you're all gonna die!, Reindeer sausage!, Just like Freddy Kruger, Tastes just like chicken! The bridge, Santa's fate (both, but I prefer normal), Mrs. Claus making a movie.
Type: Original/Style parody of Soul Asylum.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vT8jJ058buo (normal)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-0fND4HwKk (extra gory)
That oft-forgotten chapter of everybody's favorite holiday icon, wherein Santa goes psycho. Normal > Extra Gory. There, I said it. The difference is in Santa's fate, in normal, Santa is imprisoned and the elves got jobs (and two reindeers survived), while in the extra gory version Santa dies, and the elves are unemployed (no mention of any reindeers, so they're probably all dead). They say there's a 3rd version, where they combine dead Santa with elves with jobs. As for why my preference? I like when he said little friend.
18. CNR
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Third Nipple, won the tour-de-France, Yeah a two-hour piggyback ride GIDDY-UP GENE!, Ninjam warrior, master of disguise; made sweet sweet love to a manatee (that was something to see I tell ya), DIDN'T EVEN HURT, figured out cold fusion, spit in the wind, tug on superman's cape, but lord knows you just don't mess around with CNR!
Type: Style Parody of The White Stripes (esp. The Denial Twist and Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLnapb-30hA (Official MV, but leaves a verse out)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbImjh_ICOs (full song, no MV)
Move over, Chuck Norris, Demonbane, and Mr. Rogers! Weird Al sings the ballad of the one true Most Powerful Person Ever, Charles Nelson Reilly. The ridiculous feats never fail to brighten my day. Though why a verse is missing from the MV is unknown to me. Anybody know?
19. Wanna B Ur Lovr
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: The bad AND ridiculous pickup lines. GIRL YOU MUST BE JAMAICAN, CAUSE JA-MAKIN' ME CRAZY. The finish.
Worst Part: The finish. I flip-flop frequently between hating the finish and loving it
Type: Style Parody of Beck (who in turn is parodying prince, apparently)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmB2NGpoOIU
Weird Al shows Alpha posers the proper way of picking girls up. Al Gals apparently love this, judging by forum posts. But OH MAN this song is full of godawful pickup lines I burst out laughing everytime. And it'd be a cold day in hell if I don't start joining in on the Jamaican part.
20. Everything You Know Is Wrong
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: Chorus, Colonel Sanders, Solo, Heaven as a motel.
Type: Style parody of They Might Be Giants (particularly Everything Right Is Wrong Again)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ8taROu6BY
Weird Al challenges your perception of reality by recounting unusual circumstances. I LOVE They Might Be Giants, so of course a parody secures a top 20 spot. Of course, first time I heard this, it was from the Homestuck topic. Thanks guys!
21. Amish Paradise
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: FOOL!, 1699, Chorus, laughing my head off when he's burning in hell, Amish with a tude, Gillgian's Isle drop, Hitching up the buggy entire part, increasingly sweaty Weird Amish Yankovic, reversed motion in the end part.
Type: Parody of Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOfZLb33uCg http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xl4bl_weird-al-yankovic-amish-paradise_fun?search_algo=2#.UbM25tnZ53A
Amish Al tells it like it is. This one used to be higher... but it didn't have the same impact it once did. So anyway, yeah, the Al VS Coolio feud... Coolio has stated that he did not like this song, since it killed the seriousness of the original. But don't worry too much about it, they've made up.
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-W3FBPkfNtpc/TgD36pWPkdI/AAAAAAAAAmI/qcNrWZtOBB0/s1600/coolio-and-weird-al-hug-and-peace-is-restored.jpg
D'aaaawwww
22. It's All About The Pentiums
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Title drop (both male and female), ALL the verses, particularly Dorito Chip, floppy diskette, -er rhyming section just before the chorus again, Etch-a-sketch, box of crackerjacks, 2-bit user, opened the box, Entire MV, particularly Emo Phillips (the nerd getting mocked), Al's dance moves, Drew Carey (the male back-up dancer)
Type: Parody of It's All About the Benjamins by Puff Daddy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpMvS1Q1sos http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2ey36_weird-al-yankovic-it-s-all-about-th_fun#.UbMzb9nZ53A
Weird Al delivers one hell of a(n outdated) sick burn to a nerd poser. Oh god so many computer jokes, and the music is considerably better than the original. Would you believe this was originally in the low hundreds until it clicked? Oh, and the MV was shot at the Department of Public Works in Alhambra, California.
23. TMZ
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Chorus, HEY ISN'T THIS CREEEEPYYYY, snapping pictures of course!, talking interlude, racist rant.
Type: Parody of You Belong with Me by Taylor Swift
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwqFgnl4rMs
A warning tale about the omniscient TMZ.I just love the way Weird Al sings TMZ. I PRONOUNCE YOU GUILTY OF LEAVING THE HOUSE WHILE FAT! Makes me laugh everytime man.
24. Confessions Part III
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: Chorus, Silly me, Pauley Shore, dress up like Shirley Temple and slap myself with a Hockey Stick, fantasize a midget, I'm so sorry Debbie - I mean BRIDGET! Lying about Rice Krispies
Type: Parody of Confessions Part II by Usher
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFcwJrQmChk
Weird Usher Yankovic talk-sings even more secrets he hid, and frankly, should have kept hidden. Oh man this song is a gut buster, I laughed non-stop when this song comes on. Though it makes me sad I can't find Rice Krispies Treats around here anymore.
25. If That Isn't Love
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Chorus. Mama-Mia to you know what bait and switch.
Type: Style parody of Hanson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQGrvCAmt-A
A romantic song from a... not so romantic man. It's the music that mostly earns it's placement for me. But man, I can never get tired of that chorus. THEN I DON'T KNOW WHAT LOVE IS! And d'aaaawww MV ending.
26. Trash Day
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: Nastay, Even my dog passed out and needed resuscitatin', Sure to put you in a coma, roaches wear slippers, STAND UP BY THEMSELVES at this point! I've got a bucket that's got your name on it! (What?) I'm just kidding doggone it. (Oh) UNLESS YOU GONNA DO IT
Type: Parody of Hot in Herre by Nelly
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ttr9GBrlYs
One hell of a slobby man sings about the (non)living conditions of his home. The part where he tries to make his woman clean it is hilarious and never fails to make me laugh, and other funny lines abound.
27. Polka Your Eyes Out

"Dr. Feelgood" by Motley Crue
"Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice
"Ear Booker Polka" by "Weird Al" Yankovic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYWvi4Y5soU
So what makes this polka higher than almost every other? Other than the opening, everything from the humpty dance until the end is just god-tier. DO THE HUMPTY HUMP! I REALLY MISS YOU MUCH! ICE ICE BABY!
28. Genius In France
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: Hoom chaka laka, Perrier part, instructions on the hell, French Ladies sings, Oui oui + Box of hair, QUOI!, taco short, they laugh! HAWHAWHAWHAW, And I'm never goin' back, kiss my feet + drunk with power + statue by the Eiffel tower, a little more to the left boys.
Type: Style Parody of Frank Zappa
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VuiBBX6aZA
Wonder no longer Frank Zappa fans, here is where it falls. Return to your topic now! So anyway, the narrator is a fool back home, but is considered a Genius In France, and sings about it. How does this song get to almost 9 minutes on such a one-track joke, you ask? Why, by parodying as many Frank Zappa songs as possible. Oh, and Frank Zappa's son, Dweezil, plays the guitar here.
29. Party in the CIA
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Agents got that swagger. Entire second verse.
Type: Parody of Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus

30. Good Enough For Now
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: Chorus. That's why my love for you is fairly strong. At least 'til someone better comes along.
Type: Parody of Country love songs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbFU6w7q3dQ
Weird Al sings a country almost-love song... though unlike other love songs, this one doesn't exaggerate her features or the depths of his love. STILL A BETTER LOVE STORY THAN TWILIGHT!
31. Ode To A Superhero
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: Great Power/Responsibility joke
Type: Parody of Piano Man by Billy Joel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJbWo_vvAfc
The first Sam Raimi Spider-man movie summarized, Billy Joel style. If you're wondering why this is higher than The Saga Begins, it's because it has more jokes. I like American Pie more than piano man though. And come on, that Again and again and again line was comedic gold.
32. The Alternative Polka

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVWjThlEzts www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0g_LYOFJ1I
Oh man this one, I kept repeating the Black Hole Sun/Basket Case parts (LOVE IT), but overall, a solid medley and a great song.
33. Weasel Stomping Day
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: Why we do it who can say BUT IT'S SUCH A FESTIVE HOLIDAY
Type: Parody of Christmas carols
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k76IGLi6jWI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVwe1ru9Hu8
A holiday song about a rather disturbing holiday. I keep losing it at the viking helmet on and scrap that mayonnaise on the lawn parts XD. Mocking following things because of traditions + Dark humor? Aww yeah.
34. Truck Drivin' Song
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Final chorus
Type: Style parody of C. W. McCall
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZSBrM2SybY
A country song about that manly occupation, Truck driving, though the singer does not wear common apparel. Now this song was a hard one to place. I get sick of it easily, then loving it again, and the cycle repeats. Much like the Lumberjack Song. And I still love it, so I have no regrets to it's placement! So I'll be drivin' a truck, with my high heels on!
35. The Weird Al Show Theme
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: That final part
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEOwTeI9geI
The theme song to Weird Al's short-lived TV show. No, I'm sad to say I have NOT seen it (though I did watch some short clips . Short and sweet, and oh man that final part is freakin' awesome.
36. Trapped In The Drive-Thru

Type: Parody of Trapped in the Closet by R. Kelly
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHnTocdD7sk
The ballad of a man as he survives a Drive Thru. The moment Weird Al heard Stuck In A Closet, he knew it was his mission to parody it. The problem? The original thing was already absurd. Then he decided to make it mundane. IT WORKS! And yeah, do yourselves a favor and hear the original as well.

"Slither" by Velvet Revolver,
"Candy Shop" by 50 Cent,
"Drop It Like It's Hot" by Snoop Dogg,
"Pon de Replay" by Rihanna,
"Gold Digger" by Kanye West, and
"The Nina Bobina Polka" by "Weird Al" Yankovic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCAt9WcCFbM
The first polka medley I've ever listened to (in My Little Pony form). Props for turning Candy shop into something kid-friendly (well... almost). And oh man that Gold Digger polka. No, there isn't an official music video.
38. Hardware Store
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: The part that caused Al to refuse to sing this live, of course.
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K-HLVzjdZo
A man who is WAY too excited over a hardware store opening near him. Rumors say that this was originally supposed to be a Pink Floyd parody, but it grew to be it's own song. So anyway, the song's fast tempo gives it good marks already... but oh man that GODLY part after the second chorus. I dare one of you suckers to sing that part.
39. I Lost On Jeopardy
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: Chorus. Price is Right mention. COMPLETE LOSER
Type: Parody of Jeopardy by The Greg Kihn Band
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvUZijEuNDQ http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aife_weird-al-yankovic-i-lost-on-jeopard_music#.UbHLmNnZ53A
The tale of a man who... well you know. Catchy beats! I recommend watching the original MV as well, it has zombies/monsters. But in THIS MV, see if you can spot all the cameos by Don Pardo, Art Fleming, Dr. Demento, Greg Kihn, and Weird Al's actual family! Oh, and Al went on both Rock & Roll Jeopardy as well as Wheel of Fortune.
40. I Was Only Kidding
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Every line just before they into the chorus.
Type: Parody of H.A.T.R.E.D. by Tonio K.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FxmsRK4IG6o
A man retracts all the romantic things he's said, since he was apparently only been joking around with her. I just kept laughing at this idiot and when she snapped. So anyway, THIS song was supposed to appear in Alapalooza, but he made last minute changes and switched it with Waffle King and released this earlier. The reason if because of the "I really love you... NOT!" line, which Al fear would become dated if Wayne's World was no longer fresh in everybody's mind. But I love that movie, and this song!
41. Since You've Been Gone
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: THE TWIST
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4539G-5yUgg
A song describing the feelings when a particular person left this person's left. AND THEN THE TWIST lol. I've always loved Acapellas, and being hilarious on top of it? High on my list!
42. Don't Wear Those Shoes
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: When he starts trading not wearing the eponymous shoes for weird reasons. The music itself.
Type: Intro is style parody of the Kinks, rest is original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2I97P7lOzw
A man who just hates the shoes his darling is wearing. So much so he starts begging and offering weird trades. I don't think anybody but me loves this song as much as I do though. Shame, I love that synthesized sounds combined with the vocals.
43. The Check's In The Mail
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Claps. Chorus. Why don't you leave a message with my girl, I'll have lunch with your machine!
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhBa12DobiM
One hell of a jerkass gets away with his con/scam/whatever. A minimalistic song, but this song just hits me in the all the right places. The jokes, the claps, girl/machine mix up, and impossibly catchy beats makes it beat 131 other songs.
44. When I Was Your Age
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: All the verses.
Type: Partial parody of Dirty Laundry by Don Henley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDcbO2bRxhg
Old Man Al Yankovic rants about kids today and his absurdly tough childhood. In fact, he's so tough I fear I've misled my topic followers: It's entirely possible that the narrator can survive being torn to pieces and his brain being used as a Frisbee. But oh man this song XD. I've always been a sucker for old days jokes, so great job with this!
45. One More Minute
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: Burn. Self service pumps, heh. Final rant.
Worst Part: Why he made the song in the first place.
Type: Style parody of Elvis Presley-Like Doo-Wop
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWhpk-8QLFQ http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aih6_weird-al-yankovic-one-more-minute_music?search_algo=2#.UbCuENnZ53A
Weird Al opens up and reveals the anguish that he felt when his then girlfriend broke up with him. What, you think I'm kidding? This particular song is based on truth (Not the burning thing). Basically, while making the album, his ex broke up with him. What's a man to do in that situation? If you're Weird Al, you make a humorous and catchy song from that experience! Oh, and that picture Al tore up in the MV? His actual ex.
46. Don't Download This Song
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: running over school kids with your car. Grandma and 7 year old girl = criminal scum. Solid gold Humvee. Even Lars Ulrich knows it's wrong (you can just ask him!). Chorus. You'll burn in hell before too long (and you deserve it!)
Type: Parody of 80's charity songs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGM8PT1eAvY http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1w2un_weird-al-yankovic-don-t-download_music#.UbCqCtnZ53A
Weird Al implores people not to download his song. This one in particular. They say Al says bastard, but I couldn't hear it, since it's at the part where it fades out. As for the man's opinion?
"I have very mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I’m concerned that the rampant downloading of my copyright-protected material over the Internet is severely eating into my album sales and having a decidedly adverse effect on my career. On the other hand, I can get all the Metallica songs I want for FREE! WOW!!!!!"
XD
47. Close But No Cigar
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: The ridiculous reasons
Type: Style parody of Cake
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtMU8nvZzOs http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3257e_close-but-no-cigar_news#.UbCnKdnZ53A
The pickiest man in the world reveals why he broke up with his exes. And yes, the MV was made by the guy who made Ren & Stimpy. I lost it on the earlobe thing everytime lol
48. Yoda
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: Chorus! I'll be playing this part 'til I'm OLD AND GRAY!
Type: Parody of Lola by the Kinks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqB_v8ajRdU
Summary of EP V's fan-favorite character, this song is. Believe me, I'm surprised as you are Chronic. But I just LOVE that Yoda chant, and after repeating both songs how many times, decided on this placement. And then other great songs still existed. Speaking of Yoda Chant, in live concerts, there's a segment where Weird Al sings random gibberish/unrelated mantras. No, I don't know what they're like. Anyway, like I said, Yoda's conception is... troublesome. Originally this was made not long after Ep V came out, and was originally released as a demon in Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes. But the real problem came when Al tried to record it: he had to get permission from George Lucas AND the song's publisher (Though IIRC, he doesn't actually need to, but the man has rules). He got Lucas' permission, but Ray Davies of The Kinks... there are two stories: 1. each time Al makes an album, he approached Ray to get permission, and was denied until he said yes for no reason. 2. Al met Ray in an elevator and asked why permission was denied, to which Ray said he was never asked, and promptly okayed it. Either way, let the force be your guide.
49. Slime Creatures From Outer Space
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: I JUST SHAMPOOED THE RUG! So hide the children, lock the doors, and always watch the skies
Type: Style parody of Thomas Dolby
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28_otKiVSx0
Unlike the other song, the invading aliens described in this song is more generic. The reason this is this high? The amazing music, and the vocals complementing the theme on top of it.
50. Party At The Leper Colony
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: Oh god all the anatomy puns.
Worst Part: Sorry I was using your head for a dip. Where's the double meaning/pun in that?
Type: Style Parody of Kenny Loggins and Buddy Holly
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTFbbthrQYw
A man describes a party... with rather ambiguous words. OH GOD THIS SONG XD. Oh man if I actually listen to this song I'd definitely burst out laughing. Fantastic music accompanying the endless jokes was icing on the leprosy cake... eww.
51. Melanie
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: MEEEE-HEE-HEE-HEEEEELANIIIIIIIIIEEEEEE!
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqmApJCgqnU
A stalker sings about his creepy, creepy obsession. The superior of the two stalker songs. Oh man when he sings her name... I get goosebumps man. Love that voice. You don't know who much I hate myself for putting this on 51 :( So yeah, he will only sing bonus parts of this song to his actual friends. No, I don't know what they are.
52. Trigger Happy
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Verses
Type: Style parody of The Beach Boys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rN6avab0fIY
A song about a man that loves his guns. For and Against sides both used this song :P. Oh man the verses lines were freakin' hilarious. Shoot First, darn good lesson, drug crazed Nazi again, just a flesh wound, filled that kitty cat full of lead, Shoot to kill now, do you feel lucky punk, all amazing.
53. The Saga Begins (Kid-friendly version > Original)
Album: Running With Scissors.
Best Part: Pointy Ear. Now he's a ghost. Circumstances surrounding the song's creation.
Type: Parody of American Pie by Don McLean
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEcjgJSqSRU http://vimeo.com/55128452
Obi Wan Kenobi sings the events of Episode 1. Oh man I loved American Pie, so hearing THIS as my first Weird Al Yankovic song was AMAZING. Regarding how the song was made, Al wrote the lyrics entirely from internet spoilers, and only did minor edits after seeing it. Oh, and there's the Disney Radio edited version (which I prefer, actually). Kinda low on the jokes though, and sadly, I had to put it just shy of top 50. I'M SORRY NOSTALGIA AND KID ME!
54. I Love Rocky Road
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Chorus of course. Lock me in the Freezer and throw away the key
Type: Parody of I Love Rock 'N Roll by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' (originally by The Arrows)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=beTsDOBRs8I http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aif9_weird-al-yankovic-i-love-rocky-road_music?search_algo=2#.Ua9449nZ53A
A song about a man's obsessions with an Ice Cream Flavor. Oh god that godly chorus. I LOVE ROCKY ROAD! Well, I love Cookies and Cream, but you just can't beat that beat.
55. Frank’s 2000 Inch TV
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: Backing chorus. Just before entering the chorus + the chorus itself. Now I can watch The Simpsons, from 30 MILES AWAAAAYYYY
Type: Style Parody of R.E.M.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glFVXpz_abQ
Yet another TV song. This one about somebody envying somebody else's item. Mocking both TVs and neighbor envy to fantastic music gives it a well deserved spot, just shy of the top 50. And if you're wondering about the size: A 2000" TV at the then standard 4:3 ratio would have a screen 100 feet tall and 133 feet wide. At today's 16:9 ratio it would be 81 feet, 8½ inches tall and 145 feet, 3 inches wide.
56. Take Me Down
Album: Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes
Best Part: Because for your shopping pleasure, the stores never close down until 5 o'clock! The finish.
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_W6V3My3lA
A sentimental song about a teeny tiny town. Technically this isn't commercially available on album, but Wikipedia listed it and I found it on youtube, so why not? I LOVE his voice in this, and the things he loved make me chuckle.
57. Polkamon
Album: Pokemon: The Movie: 2000
Best Part: Double Ditto. Try not to step on little Pikachu!
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szxllth6mhA
Screw Pokemon rap, we need more Pokemon Polka. Insanely fun song, and I love Pokemon. Shame he doesn't do more of this.
58. Couch Potato
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: Chorus. Middle of the 2nd verse
Worst Potato: No Video. Denied!
Type: Parody of Lose Yourself by Eminem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJAnpwwQWrM
TV song, but that's not important. Remember when I mentioned Eminem? Yeah, it's this song. Weird that Em okayed the song but NOT the video. In any case, multiple TV show jokes make this great, as well as the beat. XD Touched By An Uncle, Raymond, and Richard Simmons the King of Queens
59. The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota
Album: UHF
Best Part: Wondering about the Ball's origins. Weird Al breaks down and cries.
Type: Original song, performed in the style of "30,000 Pounds of Bananas" by Harry Chapin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tcw326PJuDw
The tale of father and his family on a trip. Good beats, and the song really shines towards the end. Mention of similar sites was neat. Did it seem like a good idea at the time? GODDAMMIT BERNIE! And I cried and I cried and that's when those security guards threw us out.
60. Attack Of The Radioactive Hamsters From A Planet Near Mars
Album: UHF
Best Part: Chorus. You've gotta admit, they're kinda cute
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVmTxYlvtSQ
In the same time similar yet different to Purple People Eater (which has a movie, apparently), the song tells the tale of.. well, you know. And yes, that's longest title to a Weird Al song. Obivously the superior hamster song (suck it hamster dance. Oh, and Harvey the Wonder Hamster). Absurd premise and great music are a deadly combination.
61. UHF Long > Short)
Album: UHF
Best Part: Chorus. Good lord the chorus.
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUi926ses94 (Shorter, but with MV)
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aijo_weird-al-yankovic-uhf_music#.Ua9uO9nZ53A (Shorter, but with MV)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQGIa8xOmjg (Longer, but no MV)
There it is, ladies and gents, the one and only theme song to Weird Al's movie. In case you're wondering, the only difference is an extended guitar solo around 2:30. And the MV should not be missed. See if you can name all the parodied Mvs! WE GOT IT ALLLLL ON UHF!
62. My Baby’s In Love With Eddie Vedder
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: Accordions, of course. Chorus. ALANIS MORISSETE!
Type: Style parody of Zydeco
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjyI5G2xoT8
A man with a conundrum, involving his baby loving Eddie Vedder. Very, very catchy, and amazing accordions. And lol the narrator's solution to the problem.
63. Do I Creep You Out
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: THEN HAAAAANNNGGGG UUUUPP! IN MY LEG! IN MY LEEEEEGGGGG! The big finish
Type: Parody of Do I Make You Proud by Taylor Hicks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_U377vst5o
A stalker sings about his creepy, creepy obsession. The inferior of the two stalker songs. Gotta love that he found love by the end. Heh.
64. Nature Trail To Hell
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: IN 3-DEEEEEEEE
Worst Part: Screaming in the middle on subsequent listens
Type: Style Parody of Michael Jackson and Led Zeppelin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWME4d1BRCk
The musical trailer for that favorite horror classic, Nature Trail To Hell! IN 3-D! Like I said, there's a hidden message if you reverse the song, saying "Satan Eats Cheez Whiz!". Making fun of horror movies, amazing background sounds, and just plain great music earns it's spot... higher than this. But alas, that screaming in the middle...
65. Another Tattoo
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: Wait *pause* It's Ronald Reagan.
Type: Parody of Nothin' on You by B.o.B feat. Bruno Mars
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BF6ct9ZEq5s
A song boasting about the narrator's tattoos. Music Video adds a lot, make sure to watch it as well. Plenty of hilarious tattoos, like impressed + ex-wives, the rad Boba Fett playing clarinet, and the Japanese girl secretly being a tentacle monster.
66. Canadian Idiot
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: Celine Dion
Type: Parody of American Idiot by Green Day
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6Ds6o_I3PE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrKcYbUOqAQ
Patriotic MURICA song about next door neighbor, Canada. Again, it has the base song to thank for it's placement. About the why I put that 2nd link, it's because there was a music contest for best fan video, but for one reason or another it was cancelled. THAT vid was the winner.
67. One Of Those Days
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: When the light bad luck happens in between horrible luck
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZBlqdJkMwQ
The song tells the tale of one man's horrible day. And the earth's, really. What makes this song great is escalating the horrible luck while sneaking small bad luck events as well. AND I CAN'T BELIEVE IT, ALL THE CHEETOS ARE GONE! XD.
68. I Remember Larry
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: IT WAS A PRETTY GOOD GAG! (get it?) When the narrator snaps.
Worst Part: End part
Type: Style Parody of Hilly Michaels
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvM6bNwfTIg
When something smells- wait, wrong Larry. The narrator recounts Larry related memories... all bad (though the last one is bad for Larry). And the gag part was great. Shame the end part had to drag this song down, it could have made it to the top 50. BTW, if you reverse the song near the end, you'll hear Weird Al saying "Wow, you must have an awful lot of free time on your hands."
69. Happy Birthday (Album > Live)
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Come on boys and girls, sing along okay? AND A PINCH TO GROW AN INCH!
Type: Style Parody of Tonio K/Birthday songs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsQO1jOXLeg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWkMlDQ24GY
Weird Al makes his own Happy Birthday song. It's twisted, of course. So depressing and fun in the same time. BTW, there are three versions of this song out there, Placebo EP (Dr. Demento's Basement Tapes), Live (The Essential Weird Al Yankovic) and album ("Weird Al" Yankovic). I vastly prefer the album version.
70. Dog Eat Dog
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: How protective he is of his coffee mug. Jelly Doughnuts antics. The sometimes part.
Type: Style Parody of Talking Heads (esp. Once In A Lifetime)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuvabSks2L4
A man who sings about how much he REALLY loves his office job. I've seen first hand these type of behaviors, so I can't help but laugh everytime I hear this song XD
71. The Hot Rocks Polka

"It's Only Rock 'n' Roll",
"Miss You",
"Shattered",
"Let's Spend The Night Together", and
"(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", all by The Rolling Stones
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfxAUTG61eE
For ****s and giggles, Weird Al made a medley entirely out of The Rolling Stones songs. It works to my... SATISFACTION! SATISFACTION! SATISFACTION!
72. Mr. Popeil
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: MR. POPEIL! But wait there's more! It's not sold in any store! If you order today, you get a Ginsu Knife and a smokeless ash tray! Make me take advantage of this AMAZING TV OFFER!
Type: Style Parody of The B-52's
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMzun_Qyrvs
A musical ad of Mr Popeil products. Ridiculous and great beats. Trivia: One of the backup singers is Lisa Popeil, daughter of Samuel Popeil (inventor of the products) and half-sister to Ron Popeil (Salesman of the products)
73. Good Old Days
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: Crazy killer parts. Chorus
Type: Style Parody of James Taylor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceVXIs7Ihyw
A man reminisces about the Good Old Days. The catch being the man was a psychopath. Vocal/harmony dissonance was great, and the Oh I'll never forget the day I bashed in his head + Well sometimes in my dreams I can still hear the screams were freakin' gold lines.
74. Here’s Johnny
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: HERE'S JOHNNY! HEY-OH!
Type: Parody of Who's Johnny by El DeBarge
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-tUk805urg
The love of one man and his...Ed McMahon. The depths of this dude's love, the catchyness of the song, and HEY-OH earns it a good spot. HEY-HEY-OH!
75. Whatever You Like
Album: Alpocalypse
Best Part: But that's kinda far and I'm not made of cash, do you think you can chip in for gas? IT'S ALL ABOUT THE WASHINGTONS, THAT'S RIGHT!
Type: Parody of Whatever You Like by T.I.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otGO0a7OPtg
A romantic man doesn't let being poor stop him from treating his baby right. And that Washington part kills me every damn time XD.BTW, for SOME reason Vevo is blocking non Alpocalypse Music Videos for my country, which is why sometimes I go out of my way to find a mirror. Were they expecting Indonesians to fly all the way to America just to buy the ultimate video collection? >_>
Just because I did buy it doesn't mean they're right!
76. Fun Zone
Album: UHF
Best Part: The beginning
Type: Original/Parody of Kids Theme Songs
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTtvAKiZyoA
AKA Stanley Spadowski's Theme. I know, I know, you're all wondering why this instrumental is this high when I placed Carnival of the Animals firmly at the bottom. Obviously, because this one is fun, bouncy, and upbeat.
77. The Brady Bunch
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: Final part.
Type: Parody of The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RMCmK7OJHAI
A man who sings to another persona, begging them not to watch The Brady Bunch. And then for some reason in the final part he describes them. Guess he failed to convince him. And I'll admit, this placement was because I loved Safety Dance.
78. (This Song’s Just) Six Words Long
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: Everytime he says Child. Oh, how will I fill so much time, mm-mm, I'll throw in a solo, a solo, a solo, a solo, a solo here! *actual solo*. Oh, and of course, I know if I put my mind to it, I know I could find a good rhyme here
Type: Parody of Got My Mind Set on You by George Harrison
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWi5jdgTUJs
Weird Al describes Writer's block. In song form! Oh, and not only is the song not 6 words long... he sings "This song IS just six words long". Everytime I'm reminded of that I just laugh. Being ridiculously catchy is a bonus.
79. Achy Breaky Song
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: But Mr. DJ, please, I'm beggin on my knees, I just cant take no more of Billy Ray
Type: Parody of Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJWWKj_wptY
The narrator sings how disdainful he is of that Billy Ray song. So like I said, after recording it, Weird Al was so wracked with guilt he sent the proceeds from this song to United Cerebral Palsy Association. Don't remember what Billy Ray himself thought of it though.I love Achy Breaky Heart... but goddamn, it felt like every time I hear the radio this damn song played when it was popular.
80. I Think I’m A Clone Now
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: I guess you could say... I'm really beside myself. 'Cause every pair of genes is a hand-me-down
Type: Parody of I Think We're Alone Now by Tommy James And The Shondells (Well, the Tiffany cover, really)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLY2vKs6hH8
A song about a guy who think he's a clone. Technically, the title is a lie, since this guy KNOWS he's a clone, but oh well. Very catchy beats and a few good lines.
81. Bohemian Polka
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: The beginning of the Music Video. Opera, Hard Rock, and Finale parts.
Type: Straight Cover/Parody of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RcEhSOLUPY
Bohemian Rhapsody done Polka-style. I have no idea why Al decided to do this. I doubt people who hate the original song are going to love this. That said, I LOVE both versions of the song, so aww yeah.
82. I’ll Sue Ya
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: Rage meter building. Reversing the standard coffee lawsuit. I'll Sue Ben Affleck! *silence* Aww, do I even need a reason? I'll take all your money to the end.
Type: Style parody of Rage Against the Machine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeXQBHLIPcw http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2z921_i-ll-sue-ya_news#.UaylJNnZ53D
The Angriest Man In The World has a chip on his shoulder, and so he suits loads and loads of things with absurd reasons. Ridiculous litigation always makes me laugh. And sad if they win. BTW, does anybody know about that one lawsuit where the robber sued the dude he was robbing? I've always wondered about that.
83. The Rye Or The Kaiser (Theme From Rocky XIII)
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: First two lines. Chorus.
Type: Style Parody of Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HX3oMbPQMzU
Weird Al sings the title to that upcoming Rocky film! I just find the visual image of Rocky doing this utterly hilarious. Plus, I love Eye of the Tiger. YOU JUST CAN'T GO WRONG WITH ROCKY JOOOOOOKES... AND SURVIVOOOORRR
84. Pancreas
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood
Best Part: The back up singers. Final part of the song
Worst: Part: Kinda slow to get to the best part
Type: Style Parody of Brian Wilson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqDBB0no6dQ http://www.myspace.com/video/weird-al-yankovic/pancreas/60113706
Weird Al teaches his listeners about the many facts about Pancreas. BTW, I keep swearing this thing sounds like the Beach Boys. Anyway, this song is a mix between meh parts and ****ing good ones. Dat ending man.
85. I’m So Sick Of You
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: The back up singers. Final part of the song
Type: Style parody of Elvis Costello
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4TgMU7a1Qk
The narrator details the many, many, MANY ways his baby makes him sick. XD the reasons. And yet, Excalibur is still more annoying.
86. Germs
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Chorus. The part that ends with SEE?
Type: Style Parody of Nine Inch Nails (esp. Closer, Terrible Lie, and Mr. Self Destruct)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GSgc2yD_jU
In this song, the narrator reveals the depths of his Mysophobia. Now here's a rags to riches story. Would you believe that prior to listening to EVERY song I have, this song is snugly fit near the bottom? Unlike it's friend Pretty Fly For a Rabby, this rocketed higher.
87. Eat It
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: Zoidberg whoop. Chorus. Exploding guitarist
Type: Parody of "Beat It" by Michael Jackson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcJjMnHoIBI http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aidu_weird-al-yankovic-eat-it_music#.UayZldnZ53A
In this song, the narrator berates an unknown person for not eating. Only reason this is higher than Fat is because I like this song more. Joke-wise, Fat is much stronger. But man, I can never get tired of EAT IT EAT IT EAT IT. Oh, and the music video has elements of Thriller.
88. Gump
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: Describing Gump's friends and romantic interest
Worst Part: I don't like sudden ends.
Type: Parody of Lump by The Presidents of the United States
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQwWaWFjd0Y http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1alpj_weird-al-gump_fun
I love the band. I love Forrest Gump. I don't like sudden ends. This song describes the second, done in they style of the first, and unfortunately has the third. That's all I have to say about that
89. Talk Soup
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: The lyrics, of course
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=555ndsDM2qo
Back when E! was in the planning stages of Talk Soup, they approached Weird Al about making a theme song for it. So he whipped this up, showed it to the producers, and they loved it... and proceeded not to use it. Ehh, their loss. Anyway, I love talk show jokes (HINT HINT), so it gets this spot. I YODEL IN THE NUDE
90. Like A Surgeon
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: It's fact, I'm a quack. Let me see, that IV. I can hear your heartbeat... FOR THE VERY LAST TIME! That football player
Type: Parody of Like a Virgin by Madonna
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=notKtAgfwDA http://www.vh1.com/video/weird-al-yankovic/111234/like-a-surgeon.jhtml
A song from the POV of a godawful doctor. I mean, goddamn. XD the scrimmage. What's neat about this song is that MADONNA gave Weird Al the idea for this parody. Well, not directly. Actually, a reporter asked Madonna about Weird Al, to which she replied that she liked him, and wondered when he was going to do a Like A Surgeon parody. And then someone she worked for got into contact with somebody who works with Al, who told Al about it, who proceeded to go "Hey, that's not bad!.
91. Craigslist
Album: Alpocalypse/Internet Leaks
Best Part: The entire lyrics
Worst Part: Too close to copying The Doors
Type: Style parody of The Doors
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4sALru9IJk
I do not like The Doors at all. That said, Craigslist antics amuses me to no end, and Weird Al does a great job making me like it. XD Wheelbarrow, red speedos and a hockey mask, Be bom ba chomb cadonk bin bam boo!, No tip for you!, Entire Styrofoam peanuts thing, and the surprise CRAIGSLIST
92. Livin’ In The Fridge
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: When he opened the fridge again
Type: Parody of "Livin' On The Edge" by Aerosmith
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhTgzx-LjJY
Another song vastly improved by parodying it. As the title says, the man is afraid of the leftover he has left in the fridge. Oh man that scream gets me everytime XD
93. A Complicated Song
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: 3rd part onwards
Type: Parody of Complicated by Avril Lavigne
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDq0sXlaBd4
A complicated man details his complicated problems in his complicated everyday life. Avril helped Weird Al wrote the song. That said, while writing, he had problems choosing WHICH parody he liked best... so he combined all 3 into this. I just find the idea a decapitated man singing this hilarious lol
94. Grapefruit Diet
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Who's that waddlin' down the street? No more pie now- to the end.
Worst Part: BIG FAT REAR part on a different video. God.
Type: Parody of Zoot Suit Riot by Cherry Poppin' Daddies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eahmcBn0QLY
... let's just say I found a video with a BIG FAT REAR I didn't want to see. Anyway, the song is about a fat guy who does one of those extreme diets. You know the ones. Of course the narrator fails. Unlike Fat though, I like the original song, and since they both cover obesity, I'm giving this one the edge.
95. Polka Party
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: Sussudio. Party All The Time. Harlem POLKA. Papa Don't Preach
Worst Part: Freeway of Love. Nasty Boys
Type: Polka Medley
List:
"Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel,
"Sussudio" by Phil Collins,
"Party All The Time" by Eddie Murphy,
"Say You, Say Me" by Lionel Richie,
"Freeway of Love" by Aretha Franklin,
"What You Need" by INXS,
"Harlem Shuffle" by The Rolling Stones,
"Venus" by Shocking Blue,
"Nasty" by Janet Jackson,
"Rock Me Amadeus" by Falco,
"Shout" by Tears For Fears,
"Papa Don't Preach" by Madonna
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnrBwpdomUg
The Papa don't Preach part was replaced with "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" by Wang Chung, and the medley ended with Sledgehammer in a live version of this song.
96. Buy Me A Condo
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: Wit' de alligator on. 2nd Verse (Tupperware Party) and 3rd Verse (JACUZZI)
Type: Style parody of Bob Marley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztCrH4ZwySc
I love Bob Marley and Reggae. This song details an ex-lonely Rastaman who decides to go up in in life by being an Amway distributor. JA JA JA! JACUZZI IN THE BACK YARD!
97. Alimony
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: Nest Egg then Nest. GET OFF. MY BACK. Cash Register sound
Type: Parody of Mony Mony by Billy Idol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_E-QOimQgi8
Heed the words of the prophet Extha! The writing is on the wall people! Anyway, main reason this is this high is because I kept laughing at the cash register noise.
98. Headline News
Album: Permanent Record Al In The Box, Greatest Hits Volume II, Headline News
Best Part: Sound effects and voices.
Type: Parody of Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm by Crash Test Dummies
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLXp5PpaT-M
3 (old) headline news made funny, despite being rather morbid. Other than the the first one, lol what a pansy. And this song is rather unusual, since you can only find it in Al-In-The-Box (Good luck) or Greatest Hits Volume 2, or it's own Single. It should be noted that in Concert Weird Al likes to add new verses, like Britney Spears having her head.
99. Angry White Boy Polka
Album: Polka Hat
Best Part: Last Resort. Down With The Sickness. My Way. Youth of A Nation. Slim Shady
Worst Part: Last Nite
Type: Polka Medley
List:
"Last Resort" by Papa Roach,
"Chop Suey!" by System of a Down,
"Get Free" by The Vines,
"Hate To Say I Told You So" by The Hives,
"Fell In Love With A Girl" by The White Stripes,
"Last Nite" by The Strokes,
"Down With The Sickness" by Disturbed,
"Renegades Of Funk" by Rage Against the Machine,
"My Way" by Limp Bizkit,
"Outside" by Staind,
"Bawitdaba" by Kid Rock,
"Youth Of The Nation" by P.O.D. and
"The Real Slim Shady" by Eminem
(With new music by "Weird Al" Yankovic).
Oh wow the polkas are going down in flames after being untouched for almost 70 placements. Anyway, again, none of the parts truly shine (though the best parts were good), and Last Nite dragged down. Also, no, that's not an official music video. Only 1 Polka has an official music video.
100. Peter And The Wolf (Introduction)
Album: Peter and The Wolf
Best Part: Are you sitting comfortably? ARE YOU? Star Wars psych out
Type: Joint work with Wendy Carlos. Parody of Peter And The Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev
Hello, Boys and Girls.
This is a story that I like to call, Peter and the Wolf.
Are you sitting comfortably?
Are you!?
Good, then let's begin....
Each character is represented by a different instrument of the synthesized
orchestra.
For instance, the part of Billy the Bird is played by a flute, like this...
The part of Bruce the Duck is played by an oboe...
Louie the Cat is a clarinet. All right, he's not really a
clarinet. He's just --- you know, he's represented by a clarinet....
The part of the Grandfather will be played by Don Amiche.
He... what?
Can't make it? Oh. Huh.
Okay, um, hmm, in that case, the part of the Grandfather will be played by,
huh, a bassoon....
Three French horns play the part of... uhm... three French horns... uh...
(The Wolf! It's the Wolf!) Right! The Wolf. Seymore the Wolf....
The kettle drum and bass drum represent the sub-machine-gun fire of the
hunters...
And, of course, as always, the part of Bob the Janitor is played by the
accordion.
Well, that's it for the introductions. And now, the story.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away... uh.... Oh, excuse me...
101. Hooked On Polkas
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: Sharp Dressed Man. Method of Modern Love. Footloose. Metal Health (Bang Your Head)
Worst Part: The part just before We're Not Gonna Take It.
Type: Polka Medley
List:
"12th Street Rag" by Euday L Bowman
"State Of Shock" by The Jacksons With Mick Jagger
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top
"What's Love Got To Do With It?" by Tina Turner
"Method Of Modern Love" by Hall & Oates
"Owner Of A Lonely Heart" by Yes
"We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister
"99 Luftballoons" by Nena
"Footloose" by Kenny Loggins
"The Reflex" by Duran Duran
"Metal Health (Bang Your Head)" by Quiet Riot
"Relax" by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmhQfrhJaYE
The reason this drop? The part just before We're Not Gonna Take It, right after Owner of a Lonely Heart finished. Ugh. Not too crazy with Weird Al's take on 99 Luftballoons either. Oh, and there is an absurd amount of pony videos using Polkas. This one for some reason is annoying to find.
102. Stuck In A Closet With Vanna White
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: Night after Night after- etc.
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1UgVuDX0KI
I always love hearing about absurd dreams. Mostly because I can never remember mine >_> But anyway, this song is about a patient divulging to his Psychiatrist about his dreams... including Vanna White.
Alright time for a score update before the last one out of the top 100. Falcon gets 2, but Chronic doubled that! The man I beat to the finish line is truly scary. BUT! There are still plenty of songs left to go!
103. Fat
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: When I sit around the house I REALLY SIT AROUND THE HOUSE
Worst Part: Shamu line gets old fast.
Type: Parody of Bad by Michael Jackson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b70pKlOYZ_0 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xf1o6_weird-al-yankovic-fat_news#.UaoActnZ53A
Watch it. Seriously. The song happens during a fat-off, as Fat Al exhibits his unmatched girth to all those posers. Fat jokes never get old... except one. I'm so tired of the Shamu line. This used to be above Eat It and way into the 80s you know. But the real root of the problem is... I don't like either Michael Jackson song. My favorite is Billie Jean. Ahh well, making me love Bad is still a feat.
104. Young, Dumb & Ugly
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: T-R-U-B-E-L
Worst Part: only focused on the dumb part. Which is hilarious, but still...
Type: Style parody of AC/DC
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvGADgehKoM
Ignore the serial comma. A group of YDU men rock out who they are. The dumb jokes are all golden here. The only weak spot... is there's no young or ugly joke. And it faces way too many competition to get higher.
105. Polkas on 45
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: Hey Joe. JJF. My Generation.
Worst Part: Sex (I'm A)
Type: Polka Medley
List:
"Jocko Homo" by Devo
"Smoke On The Water" by Deep Purple
"Sex (I'm A...)" by Berlin
"Hey Jude" by The Beatles
"L.A. Woman" by The Doors
"In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" by Iron Butterfly
"Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix
"Burning Down The House " by Talking Heads
"Hot Blooded" by Foreigner
"Every Breath You Take" by The Police
"Should I Stay Or Should I Go" by The Clash
"Jumpin' Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones
and "My Generation" by The Who
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oS5Dc6u1j8o
By now you've guessed I love the accordion. Those that see me suggest music will also know I love medleys. Small wonder that Polka medleys always get huge bonus points from me. But why didn't the original medley break 100? Well... I don't really like any of the songs here. That's right, not even Smoke or Gadda. Still, polka versions are really enjoyable
106. Why Does This Always Happen To Me
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: First and second verses. DISEMBODIED HEAD. RIGHT IN THE FACE.
Worst Part: The closing Geez, the volume escalated quick.
Type: Style Parody of Ben Folds
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHZVElgotdM
The Only Man That Matters In The World laments on how unfair the universe is to Him. XD oh man this dude cracks me up. Ben Folds himself plays the piano of this song! In fact, this song is actually great... EXCEPT for that damn closing BA BA BA BA BAH. I keep having to skip the end because of it. Thankfully, it's right at the end, unlike Another One Rides The Bus, where it's smack dab in the middle and I can't skip it.
107. You’re Pitiful
Album: Straight Outta Lynwood (at least, originally)
Best Part: Opening. Makes me laugh everytime.
Worst Part: If it was to be an Opener, it would have been a really weak opener
Type: Parody of You're Beautiful (James Blunt)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVGoOBTmDA8
The narrator ROASTS an unnamed loser. This is a shining example of a song I hated that became likable. However, this song is probably more well known to be the reason Weird Al puts ATLANTIC RECORD SUCKS on occasion. Much like Eminem, permission was denied... except the artist said okay to the song, while the label said no to putting it on any label ay all. It's a blessing in disguise though, since You're Pitiful was replaced as an album opener with that god-tier song... White & Nerdy.
108. Lasagna
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: Fantastic opening. YOU SLOPPY PIG. Mucho, mucho accordions
Type: Parody of La Bamba (mexican classic song), Ritchie Valens cover.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFGxcbrJpLI (partial)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSso5a9AxYw
Mexican tune for Italian food with a healthy does of accordions. MAGNIFICO!
... and I just realized I never knew what La Bamba means.
109. George of the Jungle
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: WATCH OUT FOR THAT- AAAAHHHH- *crash* ooh, tree.
Worst Part: Much like Harvey The Wonder Hamster, Al could have made an original/parody instead
Type: Straight cover of George of the Jungle by Sheldon Allman and Stan Worth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgZCC4f_b_g
Please tell me you all know George. Even the Brendan Fraser version. Truthfully, only reason this is this high is because of nostalgia and my love of the theme song.
110. Syndicated Inc.
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: Accordion Solo
Type: Parody of Misery by Soul Asylum
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evQpa71DotE
Yet another TV song, of the love TV kind. Not a lot of jokes in this one (or any, actually), and truthfully, it should have been the weakest... AND THEN THE SOLO COMES.
111. She Never Told Me She Was A Mime
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: Non-chorus parts
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTKX5ZdSb9Y
The laments of a man who discovers that her wife is secretly... A MUMMER! Oh good god the mime jokes XD. Best ones were the dual meaning ones and carrying around Marcel Marceau's pic.
112. Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies
Album: UHF
Best Part: The guitar. Al trying to face the troll camera
Type: Parody of Money For Nothing by Dire Straits
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4SDhrTPOiI http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xna1p_weird-al-yankovic-beverly-hillbilli_music#.UanmednZ53A
Who knew merely slapping The Ballad of Jed Clampett to Money For Nothing was an instant recipe for success? Okay, I admit it, if it weren't for the music this wouldn't be this high. Speaking of, Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits was all like" You can't record this song unless I get to play guitar on it", and Weird Al was all like "OK!". Guitarist for nothing.
113. I Can’t Watch This
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Lowers my IQ one notch, and that's the reason why... uh... I can't watch. Transsexual Nazi Eskimos.
Type: Parody of Can't touch this by MC Hammer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4wYOxe8HFE
You just can't beat that MC Hammer beat. Pretty much the sole reason it beat Cable TV. Unlike the previous song, however, this guy is bored of Cable TV. Complete 360... then another 180.
114. Cable TV
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: Freak - 27 times this week
Type: Style Parody of Randy Newman
www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqmvrGAu4n0
A bored as hell man gains access to Cable TV. While the jokes are weak, the music is pretty good.
115. Spy Hard
Album: Spy Hard
Best Part: Definitely the exploding head
Type: Style Parody of James Bond Theme Songs
www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7KMMxAQp8I‎
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/sy-23635966/weird_al_yankovic_spy_hard_official_music_video/
... weird. I remember watching the opening, but i can't remember a damn thing about the actual movie itself. Does anybody? So anyway, the song describes Leslie Nielsen's character. Last two verses were great, and the exploding head is classic. If you don't know why Al did that (Other than it's freakin' hilarious), there's a myth that Tom Jones, the singer of Thunderball singing the note so long he passed out. Good ol' Weird Al one topped him eh? :P
116. Airline Amy
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Gotta get you in an upright locked position
Type: Original
www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1_mZ2S7hGI
The romantic love story of a man who pursues a (one-sided) relationship with the air stewardess Amy. A solid original, clinching it's spot with the mission/position line. Still, the narrator is kinda sad.
117. Girls Just Want To Have Lunch
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: She eats like she got a hole in her neck and I'm the one that always gets stuck with the check
Worst Part: The circumstances surrounding the song's creation
Type: Parody of Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUJJ2419WO0
The scene: shortly after Weird Al is satisfied with his Dare To Be Stupid album. Enter the producers, Leo and Max- no, wait, this isn't a Mel Brooks production. So long story short, the executives pressured him to make a parody of Cyndi Lauper, and the end result is a song that Weird Al has gone on the record as among his least liked. The premise is certainly weird, everybody wants lunch. It's not all bad though, since there are still a few gold lines that pushed it to this spot. Especially the hole and diner's card wide line.
118. Christmas At Ground Zero
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: It's time to face your final destiny
Worst Part: The rather unfortunate title
Type: Original, parody of Christmas carols
www.youtube.com/watch?v=t039p6xqutU http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aidq_weird-al-yankovic-christmas-at-grou_music
A typical Christmas carol set in a non-typical setting of a nuclear war. The contrast is hilarious, but sadly, I don't like this particular carol. Gotta love the sound effect though. And no, this song was NEVER banned after 9-11. That said, plenty of stations were afraid of airing the song due to the dark and morbid setting. Bunch of pansies. But hark, a saviour arrives! Dr. Demento, Weird Al's mentor, will always air it around Christmas time.
119. My Bologna
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Eat too much then throw up. Dammit man.
Worst Part: WOO! Yeah, that gets annoying.
Type: Parody of My Sharona by The Knack
www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMeu3R0Rdq
Here is a song that I MUCH prefer over the original. Historically the first parody song ever done by Weird Al Yankovic. Behold history in the making people! A man with Bologna obsession gusher over it, accompanied with mucho Accordion and even a belch. But alas, the classic isn't always the best.
120. Gandhi II
Album: UHF
Best Part: It's a blaxploitation trailer with Mohandas Gandhi. Come on!
Type: Non-song
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfvLcozLwtE
(Next week on News 62)
He's back,
and this time, he's mad
Gandhi II
No more pasting resistence
He's out to kick some butt
This is one bad mother,
you don't want to mess with
(Don't move, slave-boy)
He's a one-man wrecking crew
But he also knows how to party
(Give me a steak, medium-rare)
(Yeah, baldy)
There's only one law, his law
Ghandi II
121. Living With A Hernia
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: When he starts listing off the types of Hernia
Type: Parody of Living In America by James Brown
www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8Ow1nlafOg www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbtHYJlgSKM
The tale of a man... and his Hernia. Gotta love the vocal stops here. And I jsut love it when he sounded off the top ten- sorry, nine hernia types.
122. Velvet Elvis
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: Finding out the REAL reason he really, really loves this velvet elvis
Type: Style parody of The Police
www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPE3p4kLgL8
The love of one man for his velvet elvis. Police style! Though apparently it's only because it's big enough, lol. Mocking other famous paintings is a bonus
123. Harvey The Wonder Hamster
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: The beginning part. Short and sweet.
Worst Part: The fact that a 20 second song took a spot for a potentially great song
Type: Original
www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-Rump23NTU
Oh, Harvey, Harvey
Harvey the Wonder Hamster
He doesn't bite and he doesn't squeal
He just runs around on his hamster wheel
Harvey, Harvey
Harvey the Wonder Hamster
Hey, Harvey!
Seriously though, how many of you are thinking I'm a hack for this placement? :P
124. Pretty Fly For A Rabbi
Album: Running With Scissors
Best Part: Yiddish parts.
Worst Part: At times the vocals can be grating.
Type: Parody of Pretty Fly For A White Guy by The Offspring
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flcnIVDCnFA
Describes the fliest Rabbi of them all. This song was originally at the bottom, but suddenly, on subsequent listens, it started to click with me. Weird. Oh, and apparently in Australia this song has a single and a music video, made of shots from "Weird Al" Yankovic Live!
125. Homer and Marge
Album: The Simpsons: Testify
Best Part: The music.
Worst Part: WAY too damn short.
Type: Parody of Jack & Diane by John Mellencamp
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPVzqqi8fiw
In a reversal of trends, this track has it's original song to thank for it's placement. So in Three Gays Of A Condo, Marge and the kids managed to hire Weird Al to win him back. Just watch the ep.
126. Gotta Boogie
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: The music.
Worst part: Lyrics
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkUtweS4aMc
A disco maniac with the need to boogie... and a boogie on his finger he needs to get rid of. Childish, yes, but oh man I love the beat. XD Lick it off.
127. Taco Grande
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Smexy way of saying Taco. Grande. The non-singing Spanish part
Type: Parody of Rico Suave by Gerrardo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsVRj7VvfWc
A man with a craving for Mexican food details his favorites while in a Mexican restaurant. And to answer your question, the Spanish parts means:
I want chimichangas and chile colorado
I have the money for a chopped steak
the flautas and tamales, always really good
and the stuffed pepper
I am really hungry and now I want
a ranch-style burrito
Good evening sir and welcome to Enrico's House of Salsa. We have many very delicious dishes. May I recommend the burning chicken from hell. Very delicious. Your eyes will burn. Your stomach will be on fire. You'll be in the bathroom for a week! Do you understand what I'm saying you really stupid Gringo?
No thanks, I want jalapeqos, nothing else
Where are the nachos?
And you sir, the check please.
128. Such A Groovy Guy
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: I mean you could do worse! lol
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHGpdE86nWo
In a reversal of Waffle King, what we have here is one groovy guy who is too full of himself, but as the song goes on he starts to doubt himself. Kneel down and pray... oh man. And then he blows it with what he wants to do with the girl. Oh, and trivia about the song. Apparently, Weird Al wrote this song after hearing about an ex-boyfriend of his then girlfriend.
129. I Want A New Duck
Album: Dare To Be Stupid
Best Part: SHOW ME HOOOOOOOOWWWWWW TO GET DOWN. HOW TO GET DOOOWWWWN BABY. GET IT? Worst Part: Rest of the song is underwhelming
Type: I Want A New Drug by Huey Lewis & The News
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cagunwJ6v6k
A man who lists off the criteria of his One True Duck. Technically this should be lower... HOWEVER! This song wins the stupidest reason ever to put this song above the many other songs it beat. But I can't help it man, that line makes me laugh everytime XD
130. Generic Blues
Album: UHF
Best Part: When the narrator insulted himself, and promptly thinks he needs to go to the doctor
Worst Part: The guitar part was funny the first time... but on subsequent listens, I wish it was shorter
Type: Style parody of Chicago blues
www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hox4QHh0C0
The superior Blues song. As stated in the hint, the one and only BB King loved the song. I love this song, a standard blues song with unusual reasons to be blue about. A herd of wild pigs is chewing his head! Brothers and sisters hated him because he was an only child! The narrator going **** this and going bowling instead! The negative pride in himself! Make it talk, son, make it talk! Alright, now make it shut up.
I find myself agreeing with the narrator on that last part though. Damn shame, since I laughed when I first heard it.
131. You Don’t Love Me Anymore
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: The Music Video. Reaching the end and the clueless dope only has suspicions.
Worst Part: The song is just... too slow and soft.
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWD5gdpt4Dw http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xayj0_al-yankovic-you-don-t-love-me-anymo_fun#.Uai_x9nZ53A
Behold, the first of Weird's famous Anti-love songs to fall! The contrast between the lyrics and melody are hilarious, but it's just not the kind of song I like to listen to, you know? Still, the music video is pretty great. Using the same set as Smells Like Nirvana, and the janitor of all people just made me laugh. But the best thing is Al snapping and destroying the guitar at the end. Oh man. Oh, and the MV is a direct Parody of Extreme’s “More Than Words”
132. Midnight Star
Album: In 3-D
Best Part: Tell me tell me tell me, and the ending part
Type: Style parody of Bruce Springsteen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A42ZYNno5oQ
A man, bored in line at the supermarket, reads the midnight star, filled with far-fetched articles. Oh good lord the "news". The incredible Frog boy! Bust line grow! UFOS! Twice!
133. Peter And The Wolf
Album: Peter and the Wolf
Best Part: Everytime Weird Al opens his yap. Bob the freakin' Janitor
Worst Part: Every other time. Except for the accordion solo.
Type: Joint work with Wendy Carlos. Parody of Peter And The Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev
On the branch of a big tree sat a little bird. All is quiet, said the bird. Holy cow! A talking bird!, thought Peter.
What kind of bird are you if you can't fly?, he said; to which the Duck cleverly replied, I'm a duck! Stupid!
Suddenly, something caught Peter's eye *painful noise* --- and you know how painful that can be.
- panic screaming* Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out! Look out!, advised Peter.
Boys like Peter are afraid of a lot of things, like Nuclear annihilation and flunking algebra, but they're not afraid of Wolves.
But Grandfather got Peter in a headlock and dragged him home, telling him that he was grounded and that he couldn't watch any cartoons for three weeks.
Just then, as luck would have it, a big, mean, hairy, ferocious, snarling, carnivorous Wolf, huh, did come out of the forest! But I guess we all knew that was coming. I mean, the story is called, 'Peter and the Wolf'. We couldn't very well call it, 'Peter and the Wolf' if there wasn't any wolf, could we? Huh, that would be really stupid.
The Cat was up the tree in a twinkling; which is about, oh, 2.3 seconds.
Bruce the Duck quacked so hard that he propelled himself backwards and up onto dry land. For those of you taking notes, this is a fine practical example of Newton's First Law of Motion, which clearly states that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
But no matter how quickly Bruce tried to waddle away, he couldn't escape Seymore the Wolf who was wearing his best pair of tennis shoes.
The Wolf was closing in on the Duck. It was getting closer and closer and closer and then and then.... *frantic screaming* He got 'em! He got 'em! Oh no! Oh, it was terrible! Oh, oh I can't believe it! Oh! The humanity! The humanity! Oh my God! Ahh-hoh, oh, huh.
Bob the Janitor was at home defrosting his refrigerator *accordion solo*
Peter said to Billy the Bird, I want you to fly down and circle around the Wolf's head to distract him, but be very careful he doesn't catch you and bash your skull in and tear out your lungs and chew you up into itsy-bitsy teeny-tiny little pieces. Okay, said the bird.
Just then, some members of the National Rifle Association came out of the woods, firing their magnums, uzis and bazookas. But Peter yelled, Don't shoot. Billy the Bird and I have caught the Wolf. Now, let's take him to the Zoo. Great idea!, said the hunters, and if he likes that, next week we'll take him to Disneyland!
and finally, Bob the janitor who had to sweep up the whole mess. *accordion solo*
Grandfather shook his head discontentedly, Well, Peter, what if you hadn't caught the Wolf? What then? Well, said Peter, he probably would have ripped out my intestines with his teeth. (Cough/gag/choke), said Grandfather, I know that, you idiot. It was a rhetorical question.
Above them, Billy the Bird chirped proudly. Yeah, that's right. We bad. We bad.
Granfather decided that he'd had enough of the pond and the meadow and the whole stinking scene, so he ran off to Los Angeles and joined a Heavy Metal band.
And what about Bruce the Duck? Well, the Wolf had been in such a hurry that he swallowed him... alive! which means the gastric juices slowly disolved his body and he died a long, painful death. However, you'll be happy to hear that just a few years later he was reincarnated as Shirley MacLaine.
And the moral of the story is... oral hygiene is very important. Make sure you see your dentist at least twice a year
134. Bob
Album: Poodle Hat
Best Part: It's a song made out of palindromes. Come on!
Worst Part: It's a song made out of palindromes. Come on...
Type: Parody of Tombstone Blues By Bob Dylan. The music video parodies Subterranean Homesick Blues
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUQDzj6R3p4 http://vimeo.com/44024588
It's a song made up entirely of palindromes. Do I even need to say anything? Though I guess I can talk about the music video. Weird Al made it last minute. He was going to make a Couch Potato video, but alas, Eminem denied him permission. Shame. So this was made in a hurry instead. My personal favorite is... the bees and gypsies one.
135. Waffle King
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: As the song continues, how quickly his boast escalates.
Type: Style parody of Peter Gabriel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8t4Smunp1U
The simple story of a man who is the best at making waffles. And fed his ego WAY too much. I keep losing it when he declares himself the highest form of life.Trivia about this song: It's supposed to be in Off The Deep End, but it was switched with I Was Only Kidding
That said, I've always been a French Toast guy myself.
136. Jurassic Park
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: The clayanimation music video
Worst Part: The original song. Augh.
Type: Parody of MacArthur Park by Jimmy Webb
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh4zvQfDhi0 http://vimeo.com/23275406
Who knew Weird Al was one of the people who got an early invite to Isla Nublar? Watch and hear his review on this theme park! Too bad I hated the original song. Still, he almost succeeded. I like ticket/stick it. But the real star is the music video.
137. Let Me Be Your Hog
Album: UHF – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff
Best Part: I said baby baby baby baby BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY Worst Part: End of the song. Ridiculously short
Type: Original
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nw0LnJR0IY4
Let me be your hog
Let me be your hog, now (snort, snort)
I said baby baby baby baby
Baby baby baby baby baby baby baby!
138. Another One Rides The Bus
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Chorus. When he lost stuff and when he can't get off.
Worst Part: The long hey. You know the one.
Type: Parody of Another One Bites the Dust by Queen
www.youtube.com/watch?v=dW_xH1YBZRo
The hell that is public transportation, succinctly put by Weird Al, Queen Style, accompanied by claps, accordions, and... armpit noises. GLORIOUS! But of course, there's that damn Hey part bringing it down. Kind of weird how there are only live versions of the song.
139. Spam
Album: UHF – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff
Best Part: SPAM! interrupting the flow of the song, and the last verse
Worst Part: Other than the best part, kinda meh
Type: Parody of Stand by REM
www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdpsfBsN_Dg
TL Note: Haram means forbidden in Bahasa Indonesia. Muslims are forbbiden from eating pig. Unlike the previous song, not a lot of puns. What's a bathroom grout?
140. Addicted To Spuds
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: Potato puns, best among them being "They've got APPEAL!". When he immediately continued to the 2nd verse after the first title drop. The endless title drops.
Worst Part: A rather weak song.
Type: Parody of Addicted To Love by Robert Palmer
www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpZ72qDQX_Q
ARE YOU READY TO STOMACH POTATO PUNS? NO? TOO BAD!
141. Mr. Frump In The Iron Lung
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Liberal use of the Accordion. The absurdity of asking Mr. Frump about the world situation. His reply
Worst Part: Not much of a song. Could have done without the AAAAAAMEEEENNNNN.
Type: Original
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4AKRqDtzOlQ
I can't lie, I laughed my ass off when I first heard this song. It's that middle part that kills me everytime. On subsequent listens, however, the Lung collapsing was distracting. Not as much as the closer though. Oh, and this is the album closer for the first one. Much better than picking freakin' Ricky for the opener.
142. King of Suede
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic In 3-D
Best Part: It's the same sale as yesterday
Worst Part: Lacks jokes, really. The part before the real end is kind of... ehh.
Type: Parody of King Of Pain by The Police
www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFJNxuVmCoo www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6kgQTBo80E
A solid song, really. That said, it lacks that oomph and comedy to boost it. Shame, I liked The Police too.
143. She Drives Like Crazy
Album: UHF – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff
Best Part: The voice when he says the song title
Worst Part: The vocals the rest of the time
Type: Parody of She Drives Me Crazy by Fine Young Cannibals
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgnlSJRBTR
Dammit Al, stop contrasting vocals I like and vocals I hate. Highlights I liked from the song include The Batmobile and figure eight on the interstate. Random background songs were a nice touch too. Man this woman drives like a bat out of hell.
144. Smells Like Nirvana
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: The music video. TWANG. The lyrics are hilarious
Worst Part: The actual music. You heard me!
Type: Parody of Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana
www.youtube.com/watch?v=FklUAoZ6KxY‎
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XioE3xpYM-o
I don't like Smells Like Teen Spirit
- everybody leaves*
Come back! I've still got 143 tracks to go!
- (
So anyway, the music video is just great. They not only played in the same set, but they managed to hire the same extras, like the janitor and the cheerleaders! Nirvana members themselves love the parody, with Kurt Cobain calling Al "an American pop rock genius", and Krist Novoselic saying they made the big time now that they got parodied. The lyrics are top notch, it's just... you know.
145. Bedrock Anthem
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: The beginning. Barney parts. Brings up fond memories of the show
Worst Part: The yabba-dabba-doo part
Type: Parody of Under the Bridge (intro) and Give It Away by Red Hot Chili Peppers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtV_nQKhkdY
Being a Flintstones lover, you'd think I'd love this song. And yet, the yabba-dabba-doo contributes greatly to why I skip this song more often than not. Shame, because it had golden parts, like I mentioned above. Even the other parts were good, and yet that one part dragged this song down.
146. The Plumbing Song
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Pipes! been blowing up! Blame it on the drain, yeah, yeah!
Worst Part: Ba ba-ba-ba, ba ba-ba-ba, baby
Type: Parody of Baby Don't Forget My Number and Blame It On The Rain by Milli Vanilli
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqU6U2Yhnps
There is no Milli Vanilli. As for this song, the verse is nothing to talk about, but the chorus... Good lord, what is up with this song's chorus? The first part I loathed, yet the second part I loved, even though they each are completely different.
147. Twister
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: It's the Twister ad sang Beastie Boys style. Left Hand Red!
Worst Part: Joke gets old fast
Type: Style Parody of The Beastie Boys
www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJI878oiBfw
Oh god did I crack up when I heard the song the first time XD. Now? Not so much. The song wasn't that good, and it relies almost entirely on how mismatched it is. Still, it's short and sweet, so I can't really hate it.
148. You Make Me
Album: Even Worse
Best Part: The start, and the lyrics themselves
Worst Part: Right after the... chasing part of the beginning ends and the real music starts.
Type: Style Parody of Oingo Boingo
www.youtube.com/watch?v=I98OWrboh-M
Oh man this song is going to be... well, that sure went downhill fast. Still, it's not all bad. The things he was made to do are hilarious and makes you wonder about this "you". Ahh, breaking the laws of time and space and seeing the care-bears movie.
149. The White Stuff
Album: Off The Deep End
Best Part: Spreading Oreo fillling on toast. Oh man I gotta try that. Also, reminds me of my favorite character from Fresh Prince
Worst Part: The base song, again.
Type: Parody of You Got It (The Right Stuff) (New Kids On The Block)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVC7bDvBzjQ
You Got It (The Right Stuff) (New Kids On The Block)
Utterly, utterly medicore. And yet, for some strange reasons, fond memories of Carlton from Fresh Prince comes to min everytime I choose to listen to the song. I wonder why.
150. Ricky
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: The catchy as hell beats
Worst Part: The female vocal. Especially when she goes wah.
Type: Parody of "Mickey" by Tony Basil
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZlLQLFq_H4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w77ICCgOpyA
Oh Ricky you so bad, you so bad you make me mad hey Ricky! Hey Ricky! This... is one hell of an album opener for the very first song. It's bad, I gotta say (again). And what the hell is up with that ending?
But damn it's catchy. I blame the base song and mad accordions. Now I know how Phoebe feels. Combination of good and oh so bad landed it this spot.
151. Spatula City
Album: UHF – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff
Best Part: We sell spatulas - and that's all!
Worst Part: Dragged on too long. Brevity is the soul of wit, or however that saying goes.
Type: Original
www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XbCWmY0eqY
I think the video says more than I possibly could. If I had anything to add, I'd say it was the romantic dinner that made me go "yeah yeah I get it". Though the CEO and slogan were great
152. Traffic Jam
Album: Alapalooza
Best Part: The narrator is planning to slam his car door against an oncoming bike.
Worst Part: Not knowing why the hell this song annoys me, despite it working on paper.
Type: Style parody of prince (especially Let’s Go Crazy)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=UupwKYfQJ9Y
Truck Drivin' Song? Not yet. Upbeat, energetic songs usually do well with me. The guitar is *****in'. The lyrics are hilarious. Hell, an Indonesian comedy group did another traffic jam song and I loved that ****. So what's the problem? Unfortunately, I have no answer. Everytime this song starts, I just have to skip it for some reason.
Maybe it hits too close to home? Doesn't explain why I love the other song though.
153. Phony Calls
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: The Simpsons segment of course. Oh, and the lines at the ends of the verse (Yo, hear me)
Worst Part: Everything else
Type: Waterfalls by TLC
www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwHYenKngQs
Homer & Marge this low? Come on son! The Simpsons segment is definitely the best part. However, it's kind of jarring, and it really distracts me when it happens. Plus, I do not like this beat.
154. Stop Draggin’ My Car Around
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: 2nd verse. Such a Groovy Guy
Worst Part: When he sings the song title
Type: Parody of Stop Draggin' My Heart Around (by Stevie Nicks With Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmfc67NfwOw
The premise and the content is hilarious (2nd verse especially), and liberal use of the accordion are strong points, but, as usual, if the source song I don't like...
155. Toothless People
Album: Polka Party!
Best Part: ... uhh... nothing.
Worst Part: Source song.
Type: Parody of Ruthless People by Mick Jagger
www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK9ptFHTHQE
For the life of me I have no idea what the comedy in here is, and I do NOT like the source song. Al made the song, banking on Ruthless People being big. Welp. I spent WAY too long trying to rank these teeth songs, but in the end, had to put Cavity Search lower. Also, this song is apparently big in the UK.
Oh, and uh, don't google toothless people.
156. Cavity Search
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: Shoot me up with Novocaine. Oy vey. Muzak.
Worst Part: The vocals during "with a toothache" parts. The drill is distracting.
Type: Parody of Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me by U2
www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMwFZXujLJg
The drilling part? An actual dental drill was used from Weird Al's personal dentist. Neat! Other than that, a completely forgettable song, other than the drill. The damn drill is funny, but it always distracts me when I'm trying to work.
157. Buckingham Blues
Album: "Weird Al" Yankovic
Best Part: Mishearing polo as porn. Hey, nonny nonny.
Worst Part: Being reminded of the Lady Di thing. Music genre.
Type: Originally supposed to be Jack and Diane by John Cougar Mellencamp, but was changed to be original
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1skQ7UQfgEs
In retrospect, the lyrics are funny, since they aren't really about the royalty complaining, and more the narrator being green with envy.
Of course, there's the whole Lady Di thing... so yeah.
Still, my main problem with this song isn't that, it's that I've never been a Blues guy. I much prefer the Jack and Diane actual parody.
158. Isle Thing
Album: UHF – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and Other Stuff
Best Part: Mocking the damn professor.
Worst Part: Source song.
Type: Parody of Wild Thing by Tone Loc
www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYin4GdI4NU
I have never watched Gilligan's Island. That said, I do know the basic gist of the show, so the first listen is worth a chuckle or two. The song started off like a date song, but soon trailed off into a description of Gilligan's Island. I do like how in the end these two lovebirds are together in their obsessions. Of course, like I said above, I just didn't like the original song.
BTW, most of the lowest rank ones are pretty much interchangeable.
159. Callin’ in Sick
Album: Bad Hair Day
Best Part: ... honest to god I tried, but I can't think of any. Maybe the fact that the narrator has absolutely no idea how to spend his day.
Worst Part: Everything
Type: Style Parody of Nirvana/Grunge in general
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJECp4CpMbA
Uuuugggghhhh. This song has like no redeeming value to me. There aren't really any jokes, and I've never been a fan of grunge (Hint, hint!) Fortunately, when I was making the rankings, this song never came up during the week I spent putting the entire playlist on random and repeat. Tempted to switch this with Carnival of the Animals Part II really.
So how often do you guys call in sick, anyway? I used to do it in Grade School, but never after that.

166. Aardvark
167. Snails
168. Shark
169. Amoeba
170. Unicorn
171. Hummingbird
172. Finale
173. Carnival Introduction
Album: Peter and the Wolf
Best Part:
- I could tell you a story about the Iguana... but, right at the moment, I don't really wanna
- In Poodle Weird Al describes a chimeric creature, and ends with "But, then again, on the other hand, I could be completely mistaken"
Worst Part: After Al talks.
Type: Style Parody of Carnival Of The Animals by Camille Saint-Saens
I couldn't find any streaming sites that have them up, so here's a link to distract you!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_and_the_Wolf_%28%22Weird_Al%22_Yankovic_%26_Wendy_Carlos_album%29
That said, I did find an MP3 site... but I'm not sure that's okay to post.
So anyway, yeah, these 14 songs. Technically speaking, these aren't really Weird Al songs, and more Wendy Carlos'. Each track listed here has Al talk for less than a minute, making a joke or two and then Wendy does his/her (look him/her up) thing on the synthesizer. Worth a first listen, but when this pops up on my track list I skip them all... except for Poodle's introduction and the entirety of Iguana (Which is only 35 seconds long)
Anyway, enough about not Weird Al, on to his actual (bad IMHO) songs! With links!
And if you're wondering about Peter and The Wolf, that's not until awhile.
174. Bite Me
Album: Off the Deep End
Best Part: Listening to the hidden words (first time)
Worst part: Listening to it with your volume turned up.
Style: Parody of Endless Nameless by Nirvana
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GguM0OJRUtI
Turn the volume down.
AFAIK, this is the only secret song Weird Al has (hidden lyrics don't count). This particular song can only be found in the original print of Off the Deep End, and it can only be heard after 10 minutes of silence after You Don't Love Me Anymore. So, what is this secret song? A few seconds of the band randomly playing and Weird Al screaming.
Speaking of hidden lyrics, if you slow down the song 3 times and reverse it, you can hear these words.
When we cannot ask the forest for a moment's shade
Though every ray of sun cuts like a razorblade
And we cannot ask the river for water
If she has none!
From David Hallyday's "Tears of the Earth."
Hard to find, a few seconds long, and the novelty value is insanely low. Bottom of the pile

Title refers to the apocalypse, since there's that Mayan Calander hoo-hah and all. Cover is hilarious, there's something about a comedic apocalyptic setting (that wave) that appeals to me. BTW, Al is replacing Famine. What can I say about this album? His latest and greatest, that's what I say. Even the worst of this album is still pretty good (I'm looking at you Craigslist.), but the rest of the album if stellar. Well of course, it has his #1 song.Perform This Way is a great opener, but not the best, with the Lady Gaga factor to draw in people, and Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me is so close to being the best closer... but it had to compete with Albuquerque. What's weird is that with all the love I'm showering for this album, it's actually the second to last listened to. Running With Scissors was the first. Ahh well, Nostalgia goggles can't beat everything. BEHOLD THE BEST WEIRD AL ALBUM!

Title is referring to that childhood warning kids often get. Cover is simplistic and fits the title, but there's something about Al's serious face while carrying those goddamn scissors that makes me chuckle. Album begins, appropriately enough, with a summary of SW Ep I titled the Saga Begins. The album itself... fluctuates. Bottom of the heap is Pretty Fly For A Rabbi, which isn't as low as it used to be, but it most likely cost it the number one spot and tied it with Straight Outta Lynwood. But then in comes a truckload of AMAZING songs, culminating in THE BEST album closer, Albuquerque. Truly, an album to get and another great candidate for #2.
I feel a great disturbance in the force. As if a million Weird Al fans just shouted WHAT THE HELL NATWAF? But that's just the way things go...

Cover:
Title parodies NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" album. Cover captures the gangster feel of the first track, and that bulldog was used because someone asked Al to use him in a cover. What was supposed to be the opener is, IMHO, the would have been stinker of the album, You're Pitiful. We all know the controversy, so let's move on. It's a blessing in disguise, as I've said before, since with You're Pitiful out of the picture, Weird Al went back to record two new songs, Do I Creep You Out, and of course, everyone's favorite, White & Nerdy. The closer is, oddly enough, Don't Download This Song and not Trapped In The Drive-Thru, but either song is fine, and DDTS certainly felt more like a big finale. Looking at the list, Straight Outta Lynwood is an amazing album, with nothing below 100 (YP excluded), chock full of good, great, and AMAZING songs. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this gets pushed to #2... or even #1 (but I doubt the latter)

Cover:
Title refers to- do I even need to say this? The poodle Al is wearing like a hat. The cover is chock full of cameos (if you know who they are), and the fact that nobody is even looking at the Poodle Hat makes it funny. Opening with a great song (Couch Potato) and ending with an amazing song (Genius In France)? Hell yeah Poodle Hat is awesome! That said, not everything is sunshine and rainbows with the album. First, of course, is the background to the album, being the Couch Potato MV and Eminem debacle. Problem is, Al just doesn't have the time to shoot a new one, so they chose an easy one to make, Bob. Speaking of which, Bob is the worst one in the album, but don't get me wrong, hearing it the first time was great. Then there are 3 pretty good songs, including the 3rd worst Polka Medley. But the other 8 range from great to god tier, more than solidly landing it high on the album rankings.
Also, when asked to identify the people on the CD cover, Weird Al recognized them as:
"Well, let’s see… the guy with the poodle on his head would be me. The very pregnant woman with the sunglasses is my wife Suzanne. The guy in the surgical scrubs is my friend Joel Miller. The woman in the foreground with her legs crossed is my first-cousin- once-removed Tammy (who also played Queen Amidala in my video for “The Saga Begins”). UH Jeff, the guy that screens my fan mail, is the guy wearing the NY Yankees cap way in the back. Steve Jay’s son Ian is the really tall blond bicycle messenger. Tracy Berna, one of the writers for the Weird Al Show, is the waitress with the beehive hair-do. The Boy Scout is Dylan Bostick, the oldest son of one of Suzanne’s oldest friends. Bermuda’s wife Leslie is in there too. Plus there’s my mother-in-law, my father-in-law, my electrician, a couple from my church, the owner of my favorite ice cream shop, my aunt’s boyfriend… I think we got maybe 2 or 3 people from the casting office, but the overwhelming majority were friends and family members that just wanted to come to the shoot. Title refers to the Devo parody, of course. Cover is quite busy, but I don't feel it meshing with the title much. The album begins with the pretty good Like A Surgeon, and closes with the 2nd worse Polka medley, Hooked On Polkas. The worst dud is I Want A New Duck, and the beyond 100s don't really offend my senses much. But where this album shines is with the 3 great songs, and 2 godlike songs, Dare To Be Stupid and This Is The Life. This makes it the second time that the title name isn't an opener or a closer (If you count In 3-D), though I guess a Madonna parody would attract more people. Truly the best early Weird Al album, worthy of it's #5 spot.

Title is a joke about Coolio's weird as hell hair do. Cover is appropriate. Critics say this is Weird Al's best album, and one of his most listenable ones.
- looks at Cavity Search, Callin' In Sick, and Phony Calls*
Yeah... no. That said, the album is home to 3 God-tier songs, as well as two amazing songs, and a good one (larry), so there is some truth to it. Opening with Amish Paradise and finishing off with The Night Santa Went Crazy? AWESOME!

Cover:
Title refers to the line from the album closer as well as 3-D movie trends. The cover is fitting, but a stepdown from the previous one. Imagine my surprise when I saw this one managed to fit snugly into the middle spot! But looking back, it has plenty of solid tracks (Including it's opener, Eat It, which is pretty good), Good songs (Like the closer, IN 3-DEEEEE *ahem* I mean Nature Trail To Hell), with only 2 deadweights (dammit Midnight Star and King Of Suede), and 2 amazing songs in That Boy Could Dance and I Lost On Jeopardy. This album also begins that good ol' Weird Al tradition of including a Polka Medley... though it's the worst of it's kind, IMHO. All in all, a strong album.

Cover:
Title is obvious. Cover is great! Well, not the James Brown one. Ladies and gentlemen, behold what is considered to be Weird Al's worst album. Hell, it almost killed his career! Weird Al himself pretty much said so on the record! But we all know he kept a stiff upper lip and polkaed his way back to the top of the comedy heap. So anyway, the Opener is MUCH better if you watched the MV, but as a song, it's just okay. The closer is also pretty average, despite the controversy about it. And oh dear god Toothless People. UGH. Spuds wasn't that bad, but still low tier. The polka was also only almost good. But then we get 3 good ones (Dog, Days, and Johnny), and of course, the 2 great ones (Shoes and Good Enough). So no, I personally do not think this as the worst Weird Al albums ever.

Cover:
Title refers to the deep end of the pool and somebody being nuts. Cover parodies the Nirvana album Nevermind. After a lull in his career, OTDE managed to resurrect Weird Al on the music scene, thanks to the album opener "Smells Like Nirvana". Of course, we all know how I feel about that particular track, so let's move on. Lots of songs I don't like here, like White Stuff and Plumbing. The closer itself was just okay. HOWEVER! This album has 3 great tracks (Age, Trigger, and Kidding), as well as a godly one (the polka), which prevents it from falling to the bottom. Regarding the secret track, I was sort of iffy on including it on the weighting... so I decided not to. Still, I included both calculations for your perusal.

Title is a parody of MJ's Bad (and also because it follows Polka Party, which... I'll talk about later). He could have done more with the cover. Ahh, Even Worse. Opens with a good song (finally), and ends with a very good song (Good Old Days). But the REAL star is ME-HE-HE-HELANIE. Pretty much makes listening to the album worth it. Shame You Make Me and Twister had to be deadweight, and a meh Velvet Elvis, but the good to great songs help make this an enjoyable album overall.

Cover:
The self-titled first album of the musician we all know and love. I love that cover, it just covers the nerdy aspect perfectly. The songs... yeah. Opening with Ricky was a horrible choice, and Mr. Frump In the Iron Long fits as a closer... if it weren't for that annoying AMEN. Now, what's unique about the first album (Other than the lack of a Polka Medley which it shares with Even Worse) is that EVERY TRACK has an accordion part in it. Too bad the songs are mostly a miss... but not all is lost. I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead is so damn amazing it dragged this album back from bottom placement to 3rd place (at the moment), and has 3 other great songs in Happy Birthday, The Check's In The Mail, and I Love Rocky Road. All 4 earned a spot in my endless replay list, in fact. But still, for his first album, it's not his one of his better ones.

Title is based on the music festival Lollapaloza. Pretty great album cover. Had I rounded up, this album would have tied with UHF. The biggest problem I had with this album was that I didn't like the opener (Jurassic Park), or the other track that got an MV (Bedrock Anthem). And bah Traffic Jam. Another thing is that he inserted a short song into the album (dammit Harvey). The sole great song here was Frank, but there were other good songs, like Talk, Achy, Polka, and Soup. Choosing a polka remix of a single song as a closer though? Bold move Al. Oh, and there's a bit of a history with this album and Off The Deep End, which was released earlier in the same year. Al feared a song would become dated if released later, so he switched Waffle King (which was supposed to be in Off The Deep End) with the song. Shame, it would have given the album a much needed boost if he hadn't.

Title is based on his movie. Cover was... okay. Anybody else see this coming? With the album padded with skits and instrumentals, it's a wonder that this almost tied with # 12. For an Opener, they chose... Money for Nothing, for some reason. It's an okay song, but come on guys, at least open with UHF. Plus, ugh Isle Thing. Still, it's not all bad. The top 3 were great (Aww yeah Ball of Twine for the closer), Hot Rocks Polka as well, and Fun Zone is catchy as all hell. But only 5 (maybe 6) songs I'd listen to out of 13? Yeah...
