Pit is the lead character in Kid Icarus, a vertical platform game for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 2007, Pit got another appearance in the spotlight when he was announced as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Because of his Brawl appearance, Pit made the Summer 2007 Contest, but lost in the first round to Luigi and Mudkip. Thankfully, he managed to beat Tingle.
Pit returned to action in the Summer 2008 Contest, although he and King Dedede lost to Zero and Ryu Hayabusa in the first round.
