Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum are the first Nintendo DS Pokémon titles, and the first games in the series to allow online trading and competition.
Friend code location: Upon reaching Oreburgh, you will be able to go downstairs in the Pokémon Centers. There, you will be given the Pal Pad and will be assigned a friend code upon connecting to Nintendo WFC for the first time by talking to one of the nurses. Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to obtain the badge from Oreburgh Gym first.
