Pokemon Trainer Blue

Who is Pokemon Trainer Blue? Edit

Pokemon Trainer Blue is your rival in the original Pokemon games. The grandson of the prolific Pokemon researcher Professor Oak, Blue begins his journey at the same time as your main character in the games. During your quest throughout Kanto Blue somehow manages to remain one step ahead of you, always collecting Gym badges before you can, collecting hundreds upon hundreds of Pokemon, and all the while doing it with unwavering confidence in himself. Blue is no slouch and can easily back up his arrogance with strength and a cocky retort

By the time Pokemon G/S/C rolls around, Blue has become the Gym Leader of Viridian City, replacing Giovanni, and he holds your 16th and final Gym Badge of the game. He is the second-to-last greatest threat in the game despite appearing so late with one of the best Pokemon teams assembled.

There was a lot of debate with Blue when the bracket was released. Would he perform as well as Red? Would he get Gary Oak votes? The main question was would Wolf hold Fox back enough to let Blue through. It was an important question because the winner of this match would likely win in the second round as well. Despite Fox supporters being correct that Fox would SFF Wolf into oblivion thus making LFF minimal Blue was able to win the match so easily that he could make a good case at defeating Fox in a fair match.

After his impressive showing in the first round some people were a bit disappointed in his performance in the second round, but when you consider Nathan Drake has gotten Uncharted 3, there was another Nintendo character in the poll and Blue is not as strong as the other Pokemon characters his performance was okay. While it was expected that Blue would finish in last in the third round it was feared that he would hold Pikachu back also causing him to lose. While Blue did hold Pikachu significantly back it was not by enough to drag Pikachu into second.
