Steve
Steve is the player controlled character in Minecraft. Steve is intended to be a generic, genderless representation of a human. While the player can change his skin the default Steve has brown hair, blue eyes, a light blue shirt, jeans and gray shoes. As the game is fairly open the player can have Steve do anything from kill everything in sight to engineer extravagant buildings.
Steve is able to run, jump and even fly if playing on a certain mode. In his everyday life Steve can use various tools such as axes, shovels, compasses and fishing rods among other things. As Steve gains more experience he is able to do more things efficiently. Like all things in Minecraft Steve has health, a hunger bar and air capacity. Should he die Steve will respawn somewhere in easier modes, but in hardcore mode the player will be banned from the game and must start again.
