Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a fighting game by Nintendo released for the Wii in 2008. It is the third installment in the Super Smash Bros. series, which pits many popular Nintendo characters from different series against each other. It is the first SSB game to have online play. It also had a completely new adventure mode called The Subspace Emissary, which was widely considered to be a sub-par Kirby game built mainly from Nintendo fan-service.

Wait, SNAKE?[]
Yes, Snake. The surprise appearance of a Konami character in a game concerned with Nintendo characters has met mixed reactions. Some say that for this reason, the inclusion of Snake ruins the integrity of the game. Others hail it as a welcome expansion to the world of Super Smash Bros., and a few even speculated other 3rd-party characters to make appearances as well, such as Mega Man, Viewtiful Joe, and at least one Konami character in addition to Snake.
Sonic The Hedgehog joined Solid Snake as the 2nd Non-Nintendo Character to join the madness. He was also the most wanted character in the game.
Where the hell is Mega Man?[]
Nobody seems to know...
Online[]
Also new to the Smash series is its online play, giving you the ability to play Brawl online "With Friends", trading Friend Codes with friends all over, or "With Anyone", playing anonymously with a random group of people. For a list of Board 8ers' Friend Codes, see Brawl Numbers. Fair Warning: Lag can be pretty atrocious if you try connecting with people across the country (or have a slower connection).
