The Dog is from the NES game Duck Hunt. He's best known for laughing at you when you fail at shooting ducks. In 2008, he got enough nominations to make the Summer 2008 Contest, and many believed that he and L-Block would split joke votes down the middle. This didn't happen, as L-Block finished first and The Dog finished last behind it, Ryu, and Meta Knight.
