Who is Tim?[]
Tim is the main character of Braid. His mission is to find a princess, who has seemingly been snatched away by an evil monster. Tim progresses through multiple worlds using the power to reverse time and solving puzzles in his attempt to find her. At the end of his quest, Tim discovers that, because of his unique view of the world, things are not as he believed them to be.
Tim needed to be non-manipulable. He needed a hope of transcendence. He needed, sometimes, to be immune to the Princess's caring touch.
