Who is Tina Armstrong?[]

Tina Armstrong is a fun-loving and ambitious cowgirl slash professional wrestler slash model slash volleyball player slash pop singer slash aspiring actress. She has a love/hate relationship with her father, who is a cowboy and also a professional wrestler but not a model, volleyball player, pop singer or aspiring actor. Her measurements are 37-24-35; she enjoys fighting games and cycling.

This is pretty much all that has ever been written about Tina Armstrong.

At the time of her only Summer Contest appearance in 2002 she had appeared in two games, neither of which garnered more than a modest following, and nearly half of the above information had not been written into her character yet. Nonetheless this was more than enough for her to knock Gordon Freeman out of the Summer Contest 2002 in round one. I laughed so hard that I almost threw up.

I love you, Tina Armstrong.

Tina Armstrong's Contest History[]

Win-Loss Record: 1-1

Summer 2002 Contest - East Division - 14 Seed

  • Eastern Round 1 --- Defeated (3) Gordon Freeman, 33801 [59.97%] - 22560 [40.03%]
  • Eastern Quarterfinal --- Lost to (11) Aeris, 15009 [23.07%] - 50055 [76.93%]
  • Extrapolated Strength --- 43rd Place [14.13%]

In Summer 2002, Tina Armstrong was placed into the same fourpack as Kasumi. Both characters were expected to lose with massive ease.

Kasumi went out and lost in expected fashion to Aeris, but something very unexpected happened the next day. Not only did Tina Armstrong come out and defeat a heavily-favored Gordon Freeman, she almost went 60-40 on his ass en route to a blowout win. Not even DOA fans thought this was possible against Half-Life's main character, especially given that Kasumi is heralded as the most popular character of the series.

The TJF arguments went through the roof at this point, though the complaining about Gordon's loss doesn't take away from how hilarious the upset was. Gordon still hasn't won a match, and the entire GFNW fad was set in motion by a DOA side character that barely anyone knew. Sure Tina would go on to get killed by Aeris and eventually never return to the field again, but who cares? Few things will ever be funnier than Tina Armstrong beating Gordon Freeman with the power of bewbies.
