Wolf O' Donnell

Who is Wolf O'Donnell?[]

Wolf O'Donnell is a character from the Star Fox series. He is the leader of the Star Wolf team and rival to Fox McCloud. Over the series he has been shown to be a merciless and cunning foe with sometimes a villainous personality. He has a rebellious hatred for any kind of authority, but is equal to Fox in his flying ability. While he has distaste for Fox he has a grudging respect for him. Being a mercenary and outlaw he has great respect for his team, but makes sure he always gets paid. Despite always wanting to kill Fox he does live by a certain moral code as he does not tolerate betrayal or greed and would quickly fire someone from his own team should they display those attributes.

During Star Fox 64 Wolf is hired by Andross to take down the Star Fox team which gave Wolf great pleasure as he wanted nothing than to fulfill these orders and kill Fox. Wolf fights with Fox’s team multiple times during the game and depending on the player’s choice Wolf sometimes won. After his defeat in the final fight Wolf goes into hiding in the Sargasso Space Zone. Due to his crimes there is a large bounty on Wolf’s head. In later games Wolf becomes less villainous and more anti-hero towards Fox. For example he has teamed up with Fox in order to stop a common enemy and has even saved Fox’s life a couple of times though he usually says Fox was lucky or that no one except him is allowed to kill Fox.

Contest History[]

Win-Loss Record: 0-1

Summer 2013 Contest - Division 6 - 21 Seed

Out of all the matches Wolf could have gotten he was given one against Fox. The main debate was whether Wolf would hold Fox back enough to let Blue win. On the other side of the debate was Wolf was going to get SFF so badly that LFF would be minimal. In the end Wolf ended with one of the lowest percents in the entire contest and while it is debatable he may have also cost Fox the match against Blue. While Wolf is no doubt weak hopefully he gets a chance in the future to show his true strength.
