Zero is a character from the Zero Escape series, debuting in its first installment Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (aka 999).

Zero is the mastermind of the Nonary Games, where nine people kidnapped by Zero are assigned bracelets numbered 1-9, and must enter numbered doors to complete a series of puzzles inside it. The ultimate goal is to reach the Number 9 exit door. To ensure the players' participation, Zero secretly planted bombs inside each player's bodies, threatening to explode it if the player violates the game's rules. Zero appears as a hooded figure who wears a gas mask and uses a voice changer to mask their identity. Despite their menacing impression, Zero has a welcoming personality and is willing to answer the player's inquiries.

As with most mystery games, the mastermind's true identity is eventually uncovered near the end of 999.

Character Battle 9 - Division 2 - 20 Seed

As weak as the board thought Zero was going to be, Zero was lucky to have been given Chester as an opponent which guaranteed that they would at least not finish in last place. Zero is arguably the weakest second place character in the bracket and among one of the weakest overall, but even theylooked like a champ against Chester, breaking 80% on him. Of course Zero almost let Mewtwo break 85% on him at the same time.
